Influence of Foreign Films on University Students' Life Style ''A Field Study Surveying a Sample of Tishreen University Students''

Ideas and social as well as cultural values associated with daily life in foreign films influence the behaviors and habits of viewers. The young are the most vulnerable because they are at the stage of forming opinions and testing values of their socialization in childhood and adolescence. University students form the biggest group in society upon which a community is built. So it was necessary to study the impact of what is promoted in foreign films of values and behaviours on this category people. This research poses set of questions: 1. What is the quality of the movies that students prefer to see? 2. What are the most popular ways of watching foreign movies among university students? 3. Are university students watching foreign films affected by cultural aspects presented in the film? 4. Are university students watching foreign films affected by the social aspects presented them? 5. What is the effect of what is being presented in foreign films on the daily life of the undergraduate students viewers of these films? This research was conducted on a random sample of Tishreen University students in Lattakia during academic year 2012-2013. The search presented the phenomenon of people's watching foreign films and analyzed it to identify the impact on audiences of cultural values, social and daily life style that are being promoted in foreign films. A questionnaire was designed, Data was analyzed using the SPSS20 software to reach results.

The degree of Commitment of Postgraduate Students with the Ethics of scientific research from the viewpoint the Teaching Staff at Tishreen University

The research aimed at recognize the degree of Commitment of Postgraduate Students with the Ethics of scientific research from the viewpoint the sample research, and recognize the significance of the differences between averages the teaching staff about the degree of Commitment of Postgraduate Students with the Ethics of scientific research according to the variables the teaching staff (Faculty, study rank, years of experience). To achieve the objectives of the research, was applied questionnaire prepared for this purpose, consisted (50) items, which distributed for five areas (originality and innovation, objectivity, honesty, respectful, and the scientific humble). The questionnaire has been applied the research on sample (268) teaching staff during the academic year of (2015 - 2016); after the Validity and the Reliability was established.

The extent to which the postgraduate students in the Faculty of Computer Engineering at the University of Damascus possess computer skills Field study in the Faculty of Informatics - University of Damascus

This study aims at identifying the extent to which the postgraduate students in the Faculty of Computer Engineering at the University of Damascus possess the skills of using the computer by measuring their ability in using the computer according to the following fields: (Computer skills, computer skills, operating system skills, skills of using ready software, and skills of using the information network and the Internet). A special questionnaire was constructed to achieve the objectives of the study and presented to a group of competent arbitrators with the expertise to verify its validity and consistency. , Where the stability coefficient (0.94) was also used, and the Statistical Package Program (SPSS) was used to analyze the data Finally, the study led to a number of results which, in turn, led to some suggestions that could benefit computer workers, professionals and specialists in college, university and society.

The Reality Use of Printed Learning Resources and its Role in Serving the Scientific Research from the view point of the Postgraduate Students-A field study at Tishreen University-

The present study aims to find out the reality of postgraduate students' use of printed learning resources and its role in serving the scientific research. The sample of the study is all postgraduate students enrolled in Tishreen University colleges. The researcher has relied on the descriptive approach and used the questionnaire as a research tool in order to find out the reality of postgraduate students' use of printed learning resources and its role in serving the scientific research. The study has found that the most important printed sources used by the postgraduate students at Tishreen University are printed books, followed by periodicals. Moreover, there were statistically significant differences at (0.05) among the answers of the research sample members, Tishreen postgraduate students, concerning the services provided by the libraries of the scientific research, especially the printed sources, and regarding the difficulties of using the libraries in the scientific research, especially the printed sources, according to the variable of College Type. However, there were no statistically significant differences among the answers of the research sample members regarding the previous two topics according to the variable of the Academic Year.
