This study aims to investigate the work values embedded in the Arabic language textbooks taught in the first and second cycles of basic education in the Sultanate of Oman. The number of textbooks analyzed is 18. The study adopted a quantitative as well as a qualitative approach to content analysis.

This study aimed at identifying Mathematical Communication skills, which are supposed to be available in mathematics textbook among grade eight students, and to know to what extent are these skills available in the Mathematics Textbook. To achieve the goals the study used the following tools: A list of Mathematical Communication Skills, a Content analysis tool, the researcher checked the validity and reliability of the used tools.
The study aimed at defining the quality standards of the school building based on the requirements of the curricula developed in the first cycle of basic education. Pilot sample consisted of (48) managers and teachers, Reliability was established by Cronbach – Alpha Reliability at lest (0.707), and (0.853) at Spearman-Brown.
