The research aims to study the role of internal audit in the activation of governance in the Commercial Bank of Syria Latakia. To achieve the objectives of the research a questionnaire was designed and distributed to (43) managers of the bank Staff . The researcher used the descriptive method and analytical method using the tools necessary for the collection of evidence and data. After study and analysis was reached the following conclusions: 1- The application of an elaborate system of internal audit leads to the activation of governance in the Commercial Bank of Syria Latakia. 2- Making internal audit in accordance with professional standards of due diligence leads to the activation of governance in the Commercial Bank of Syria Latakia. 3- The independence of the internal audit departments leads to the activation of governance in the Commercial Bank of Syria Latakia. 4- The monitoring and evaluation systems and risk management procedures lead to the activation of governance in the Commercial Bank of Syria Latakia.
This research has aimed to identify the level of quality of banking services provided in the branches of the bank under study, to know the relative importance of the main and subsidiary dimensions of the quality of banking service, and to study the r elationship between quality and customer satisfaction. The study relied on the approach of the gap theory, to compare the actual performance of the service provided and the expected performance Of them, the research sample consisted of (314) sample from commercial bank branch clients in Lattakia Governorate. The most important results of the research were as follows: It was found that there are significant differences between the dimensions of perceived and expected quality and at the level of all the main dimensions, and these differences were in favor of the expected quality dimensions, meaning that the quality of banking service meets part of customer expectations, and according to the scale of gaps, the most satisfactory dimensions to customers are: the tangible elements, followed by security Then sympathy, as for the least customer satisfaction, which is reliability and response, and there is a significant relationship between quality and customer satisfaction.
The banking credit is the funding source of all economic sectors; it's one of the most important services provided by banks. This paper highlights the role of bank credit provided by traditional private banks operating in Syria in financing the in dustrial sector. To achieve the purpose of the study, the sample collected consists of 11 commercial banks. The study period extended from 2006 to 2011. The study data is primarily collected from the financial statements of the banks studied. For the purpose of the study, a Panel Data Model, the pooled regression model, was used for data analysis. The data were analyzed based on statistical program Eviews7. The production function was used to examine the relationship between the banking credit provided by traditional private banks to industrial sector and GDP for the sector function. Results of the study showed that the banking credit provided by traditional private banks positively affects the GDP of the industrial sector in Syria. Results of the study showed that both the capital employed in the industrial sector and the private bank credit positively affect the GDP of the industrial sector in Syria, while the number of employees in the industrial sector negatively affects the GDP of the industrial sector.
The research aims at finding out the role of the electronic banking services provided by the Commercial Bank of Syria in increasing customers' satisfaction, as well as focusing on customers' satisfaction because of its importance and its role in ac hieving the competitive advantage in the delivery of services in the banking sector, which represents an area of competition between public banks and private banks. Also, it aims at stating the extent of the employees' participation in the bank under study regarding their eagerness to achieve customers' satisfaction. At the end, the research presents a summary of the most important findings. It also presents some proposals and recommendations that will further improve the level of electronic banking services and achieving customers' satisfaction inorder to compete at a global level through a field study using a questionnaire designed for this purpose.

The research was presented a set of recommendations including: Adoption of the concept of Balanced Scorecard in performance measurement and deepen his understanding of the culture of the bank, the need to focus attention to customers and their proposals and to achieve satisfaction, the need for attention to improving the quality of banking operations and provide services without errors as soon as possible, and to focus attention to human resources at the bank and enable work to increase the degree of employee satisfaction and improve productivity.
