This research was conducted in plastic house in Zahed local for organic agriculture in
Tartous in two agriculture season during (2014-2015) and (2015-2016) to study the
effect of solid and liquid organic fertilizer from digstate on some vegetative
characteristics of tomato plant (hybride Nesma) in green house 10 treatments with 4
replicates.
The study was performed in Barshin Research Station- General
Commission for Scientific Agriculture Research on the trees age of
13 in grafted with Golden Delicious Cultivar on three rootstocks
(seedless rootstock Malus domestica, vegetative strong
rootstock
MM109, and MM111 half strong rootstock) over the years
(2014.2015 ).The study focused on growth vigor (the stem
circumference above the grafted area ,crown size - the rate of
shoots length and productivity).
This research was carried out during 2014 - 2015 in Scientific Centre for Agricultural
Researches. This research aims to determine the effect of some biological and genetic
indicators on the success of Carob seedlings in nurseries by studying three
kinds of
grafting: Auto-grafting, Homo-grafting and Hetero-grafting. Rootstock aged one year and
resulted by two chosen genetic types, namely, SnobarJablah and Alhafa were used. Scions,
they were taken either from seedlings with age of one year resulted by these two types or
from branches aged one year from the selected two types as well. Grafting was conducted
by using Whip Graft way in spring.
Auto-grafting has indicated the importance and the role of biological and genetic
factors for grafts and their impact on rates of grafting success. Concerning rates of success,
the results have shown that Auto-grafting surpassed Hetero-grafting with a significant
reference for both of two genetic types, regardless if the used scion was young or old.
In addition, Auto-grafting has shown surpass on other kinds of grafting, in terms of
subsequent growth of scions. On the other hand, a variety in biological indicators values
has been noticed between the two genetic studied types. In favour of SnobarJablahtype
againstAlhafaʼs type. However, the differences of values were not significant for the most
of conducted measures.
As for the age of scions, the results have pointed out that values of Hetero-grafting
with young scions surpassed values of Hetero-grafting with old scions in terms of the rate
of grafting success and values of biological studied indicators.
this study was carried out during summer 2014 in Siano Research Station- the
Agricultura Research Center in Lattakia . Four varieties of Cowpea: Dolicho (entrance),
Blackey (entrance), Almaarefa (Local) and local
cultivar were planted and compared
concerning the vegetative growth , productivity
and quality of green pods.
The results showed the superiority of Almaarefa cultivar in some vegetative traits
:plant hieght (166.66) cm compared with local cultivar 116.58 cm ,number of leaves on
plant and( 27) leaves and( 17) leaves for local cultivar, and plant leaves area( 7840.23)
cm2 for Almaarefa comparing with( 4499.75) cm2 for local cultivar
As well as it had a maximum pod length( 16.71) cm and highest grain number of
pod( 9.44) ,while Blackey cultivar was the most superior comparing with
other cultivars in productivity( 0.6229) kg \ m 2 and pod's number/m2 ( 81.069)
Whereas Almaarefa had the lowest productivity( 0.4935) kg/m2 and lowest pod's number
( 65.89)pod/m2.
The results also showed that the local cultivar had the most vitamin C content
comparing with other cultivars by( 23.765%) and in dry matter by (15.38%) , while
there was no significant differences between protein green pods content.
The method of vegetative propagation by hard wood cutting is considered of the
most important ones of prevalent and successful in its cultivation to obtain a Punica
Granatum seeding which are genetically uniform.
In this research,it was used three
categories fPunica Granatum
,Municipal,French,Darcoche,where they were taken the hard wood cutting of sound trees
which free of insecticides and fungal infections and bacteria, and divided into groups
which in cluded five deals to know the effect of hormone,stratification,impact,the hard
wood cutting age and its length on rooting.
It was found that the last three tested categories had no hormone effects on rooting.
The soft wood cutting of one year-old overtook the ones of two-years of age,where
they have the largest effect of rooting.The highest precentage of rooting and stronger were
at the length of 30 cm.
Its advised for stratification of the Municipal class befor its cultivation because it
increases the rooting percentage.
Darcoche is easy for rooting, because it roots by ahigh percentage if it had a
stratification or impact by the conditions of continuous wetting before cultivation.
Semi-wooden cuttings of two - jujuba cultivars were vegetitirely propagated
under greenhouse conditions, by using different concentrations of Indole
butyric acid (IBA), at Hanadi Research Station, Lattakia.
The rooting percentage reached 71.3% aft
er two months for the Ziziphus
jujube mill, and 83.3% for the Ziziphus jujube tayan tsizao, when they were
treated with 4000 mg/L of (IBA) for five seconds while the rooting percentage
was zero for the non-treated cuttings (Control) .
This study was carried out at AL-Rasheedia Agricultural Research Station
,Ninevah, to evaluate five radish cultivars, during fall seasons (1997-1998) and
(1998-1999) .
Results showed significant differences among the different cultivars. The
cult
ivar Black (Rabeea) was superior to other cultivars in number of leaves/
plant, root diameter, weight, and total yield /donum, which were 11.81, 9.22
(cm), 382.91 (gram), and 11.67 ton/ donum respectivelly. The April Cross
cultivar gave the highest root length and foliar weight. Significant correlation
was observed between cultivars. Yield was significantly correlated with root
weight, number of leaves per plant and foliar weight. The root weight was
positively correlated with its diameter, and number of leaves per plant.
