This study was carried out at AL-Rasheedia Agricultural Research Station ,Ninevah, to evaluate five radish cultivars, during fall seasons (1997-1998) and (1998-1999) . Results showed significant differences among the different cultivars. The cultivar Black (Rabeea) was superior to other cultivars in number of leaves/ plant, root diameter, weight, and total yield /donum, which were 11.81, 9.22 (cm), 382.91 (gram), and 11.67 ton/ donum respectivelly. The April Cross cultivar gave the highest root length and foliar weight. Significant correlation was observed between cultivars. Yield was significantly correlated with root weight, number of leaves per plant and foliar weight. The root weight was positively correlated with its diameter, and number of leaves per plant.

The experiment was conducted at Tayba Research Station, General Commission for Scientific Agricultural Research during 2011-2012, and 2012- 2013 growing seasons. Randomized block design with three replications was used to investigate phenotypic va riances and to determine correlation of yield components of six local genotypes of radish. Significant differences between genotypes were appeared in diameter, length and weight of radish root. The correlation analysis revealed that root weight was positively and significantly correlated with both yield (0.964) and root diameter (0.274). Yield was positively and significantly correlated with root diameter (0.382). Root length was positively and significantly correlated with plant height (0.333) and number of leaves (0.329) per plant.
Five improved genotypes of durum wheat (T. turgidum var. durum) (Lahn, Cham1, Gezira17, Bouhouth 5, and Acsad 65) were planted under the conditions of the agricultural region (Bouka) of the Faculty of Agriculture- Tishreen University during the ag ricultural year 2002-2003, with a split-plot arrangement to study the effects of flag leaf removal on grain yield and its components. The genotypes differed significantly in flag leaf area, stomatal frequency, yield parameters and protein content. Flag leaf removal significantly reduced plant height, number of spikelets/ spike, number of grains/ spike, 1000 kernels weight and grain yield, while grain protein content significantly increased. There was a positive correlation between the flag leaf area and 1000- kernels weight and grain yield, but protein content was negatively correlated with grain yield.
this study was carried out during summer 2014 in Siano Research Station- the Agricultura Research Center in Lattakia . Four varieties of Cowpea: Dolicho (entrance), Blackey (entrance), Almaarefa (Local) and local cultivar were planted and compared concerning the vegetative growth , productivity and quality of green pods. The results showed the superiority of Almaarefa cultivar in some vegetative traits :plant hieght (166.66) cm compared with local cultivar 116.58 cm ,number of leaves on plant and( 27) leaves and( 17) leaves for local cultivar, and plant leaves area( 7840.23) cm2 for Almaarefa comparing with( 4499.75) cm2 for local cultivar As well as it had a maximum pod length( 16.71) cm and highest grain number of pod( 9.44) ,while Blackey cultivar was the most superior comparing with other cultivars in productivity( 0.6229) kg \ m 2 and pod's number/m2 ( 81.069) Whereas Almaarefa had the lowest productivity( 0.4935) kg/m2 and lowest pod's number ( 65.89)pod/m2. The results also showed that the local cultivar had the most vitamin C content comparing with other cultivars by( 23.765%) and in dry matter by (15.38%) , while there was no significant differences between protein green pods content.
This investigation was conducted at the Pome and grapevine Division in Sweida governorate in 2014-2015. Four introduced pear cultivars (Anjou, Bartlett, Red Bartlett and Beurre Bosc) were studied, through fruiting and growth organs, fertility, average of fruit weight, and the yield at P< 0,05.
This study was conducted during the seasons 1995 and 1996 at Ninevah Horticulture Station- Iraq. On Halwani and Kamali grape cultivars. This study included four levels of foliar application of Fe-EDTA at concentrations of 0, 50, 100 and 200 ppm ir on, and soil compound fertilization with NPK (30 kg N + 30 kg P2O5 + 30kg K2O/ Donum) on the two abore mentioned cultivars, and the interaction among the three studied factors (cultivars, Fe and NPK), was also evaluated. The results showed that 200ppm of iron caused a significant increase in the percentage of pollen viability, Pollen grains germination, length of Pollen tube, setting of berries, ovules fertilization, leaf chlorophyll content, single leaf area, shoot leaf area, and total leaf area per vine and leaf area per cluster. The same results were obtained by using NPK fertilization. Halwani grape CV. Was significantly superior over on the Kamali grape CV. in pollen viabilits, pollen germination, length of pollen tube, leaf chlorophyll content and the single leaf area, While the Kamali grape CV. gave the highest shoot leaf area, total leaf area per vine and leaf area per cluster. The interaction among iron, NPK and cultivars reveded that the best treatment was 200 ppm iron with NPK, which gave the best results concerning flowering, setting and vegetative growth for both the cultivars.
