The method of vegetative propagation by hard wood cutting is considered of the most important ones of prevalent and successful in its cultivation to obtain a Punica Granatum seeding which are genetically uniform. In this research,it was used three categories fPunica Granatum ,Municipal,French,Darcoche, where they were taken the hard wood cutting of sound trees which free of insecticides and fungal infections and bacteria, and divided into groups which in cluded five deals to know the effect of hormone, stratification, impact, the hard wood cutting age and its length on rooting. It was found that the last three tested categories had no hormone effects on rooting. The soft wood cutting of one year-old overtook the ones of two-years of age, where they have the largest effect of rooting. The highest precentage of rooting and stronger were at the length of 30 cm. Its advised for stratification of the Municipal class befor its cultivation because it increases the rooting percentage. Darcoche is easy for rooting, because it roots by ahigh percentage if it had a stratification or impact by the conditions of continuous wetting before cultivation.

This research was conducted at the Agriculture Faculty, Damascus university to determine some factors affecting rooting of some grape rootstocks (B41, Ru140, SO4) by hardwood cutting during two subsequent seasons. The results showed that Rooting p ercentage ranged between 50 to 65%. with significant differences between tested rootstocks. The highest rooting percentage was obtained on B41 rootstock reached 65.47% followed by SO4 and then by Ru140 which gave the lowest percentage 50.44%. The treatment with hormone IBA increased rooting proportion and all the parameters (number and length of root, number of leaves and shoot length) were significantly higher than parallel parameters of the control. The storage of cuttings at 4°C for 50 days increased significantly proportion of rooting and number of roots compared with the storage under field condition. There were significant differences among dates of planting where the third date (mid February) showed superiority in all parameters studied over other dates. The cuttings from basal and middle of annual growth gave a significant superiority in the average root length (5.26–4.32 cm, successively) compared to the terminal cuttings while there was no significant effect to the cuttings position on rooting proportion.
The objective of this research is to propagate Mentha puligium in vitro, shoot tips and nodal explant were planted with 0.5-1 cm length on MS (Murashige's and Skoog) medium with various concentrations (0.5-1-2-3-4) mg/L of cytokinin BAP.
This study was conducted during 2012-2013 in order to efficiently micropropagate viburnum (Viburnum tinus) bushes using tissue culture techniques. The shoots were cultured on a Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with 30 gl-1 sucrose, 7 gl-1 ag ar - agar, citric acid as an anti-oxidant (300 mgl-1), and different concentrations of benzyl amino purine and Naphthalene Acetic Acid. A media of Murashige and Skoog was used for laboratory rooting after reducing the major mineral elements to the half, reducing the sucrose to 20 gl-1, and addingindole-3-butyric acid (IBA) of different concentrations (0, 0.5, 1, 1.5 mgl-1). The results showed that it is necessary to have auxin and cytokinin in culture to improve the value of open buds and the number of shoots per initial explants. The concentrations 0.25 mgl-1 from NAA with 1 mgl-1 from BAP gave the highest value of open buds (93.33%) and the maximum number of shoot per initial explants (1.57). To improve the number and length of the shoots produced, the solution mineral (MS) was replaced with another: media woody plants (WPM) which gave better elongation for the resulting growths (3.21 cm) and a better number of shoots (2.72 Growth/explant) compared to the media (MS) using the same compatibility hormone (0.25 mgl-1 of NAA and 1 mgl-1 of BAP). The results also show that the highest percentage of rooting reached (84.44%) with (0.5 mgl-1) IBA which was better than (1.5 mgl-1) IBA and better than the treatment of the control. Results also showed that the best medium for the length and number of roots formed was (2.7cm, 3.82root) when the concentration was (0.5 mgl-1) surpassing the control. The success rate of the acclimatization of the resulting laboratory plantlets under glasshouse conditions reached (73.33%) one month and a half after the transplanting.
This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of anti-bacteria shown by the extracts prepared from per carps of different types of Punica granatum ( L) ( from the family Punicaceae), which grow in Syria against Escherichia coli (E.coli) biotype (1), which were resistant to studied antibiotics.
This study was carried out at AL-Rasheedia Agricultural Research Station ,Ninevah, to evaluate five radish cultivars, during fall seasons (1997-1998) and (1998-1999) . Results showed significant differences among the different cultivars. The cult ivar Black (Rabeea) was superior to other cultivars in number of leaves/ plant, root diameter, weight, and total yield /donum, which were 11.81, 9.22 (cm), 382.91 (gram), and 11.67 ton/ donum respectivelly. The April Cross cultivar gave the highest root length and foliar weight. Significant correlation was observed between cultivars. Yield was significantly correlated with root weight, number of leaves per plant and foliar weight. The root weight was positively correlated with its diameter, and number of leaves per plant.
