The Moral Foundation Theory suggests five moral foundations that can capture the view of a user on a particular issue. It is widely used to identify sentence-level sentiment. In this paper, we study the Moral Foundation Theory in tweets by US politic ians on two politically divisive issues - Gun Control and Immigration. We define the nuanced stance of politicians on these two topics by the grades given by related organizations to the politicians. First, we identify moral foundations in tweets from a huge corpus using deep relational learning. Then, qualitative and quantitative evaluations using the corpus show that there is a strong correlation between the moral foundation usage and the politicians' nuanced stance on a particular topic. We also found substantial differences in moral foundation usage by different political parties when they address different entities. All of these results indicate the need for more intense research in this area.
The paper describes work in progress in the DanNet2 project financed by the Carlsberg Foundation. The project aim is to extend the original Danish wordnet, DanNet, in several ways. Main focus is on extension of the coverage and description of the adj ectives, a part of speech that was rather sparsely described in the original wordnet. We describe the methodology and initial work of semi-automatically transferring adjectives from the Danish Thesaurus to the wordnet with the aim of easily enlarging the coverage from 3,000 to approx. 13,000 adjectival synsets. Transfer is performed by manually encoding all missing adjectival subsection headwords from the thesaurus and thereafter employing a semi-automatic procedure where adjectives from the same subsection are transferred to the wordnet as either 1) near synonyms to the section's headword, 2) hyponyms to the section's headword, or 3) as members of the same synset as the headword. We also discuss how to deal with the problem of multiple representations of the same sense in the thesaurus, and present other types of information from the thesaurus that we plan to integrate, such as thematic and sentiment information.
The behavior of the basaltic shear diaphragms of the remaining buildings of ancient times was investigated as experimental research, and its resistance to natural factors and horizontal loads resulting from wind and earthquakes,to take advantage of them in the maintenance of modern buildings, which are associated with floors and beams as horizontal shear diaphragmsIn the hot and cold areas of the African continent, Asia and other similar areas,to replace the reinforced concrete shear diaphragms, and metal shear diaphragms that lose their resistance to the above factors. When the buildings are inspected, the vertical and slanted slits resulting from the side loads are placed,it was found that the appearance of the cracks related to the hardness of the shear diaphragm section, the basalt stone specifications and the design of the shear diaphragm base. The research was conducted to determine the durability, water permeability and resistance to pressure and tensile strength of basalt stone samples used in historic stone buildings and their location in laboratory methods.Horizontal loads resulting from seismic intensity were determined on the front of the building at the tile level according to international requirements and specifications. The method of calculating the basaltic shear diaphragms was applied by applying arithmetic to build a basalt stone from several floors and a basement, taking into account the characteristic resistance of basalt, depending on its density from pressure and stretching and basalt stone in calculating.
Radon is a radioactive gas, occurring naturally as a decay product of uranium .Radon is the second cause of lung cancer according to EPA and WHO estimates. The presence of cracks plays a major role in transmission of radon from depth to the surface o f the earth and steams it into the air.The leakage of radon from the foundation soils is usually the primary source of indoor radon pollution. Due to the growth of urban population in active tectonic regions and because tectonic activity is accompanied by an increase in radon concentration; the emission of radon in these regions and its leakage into houses will be higher thus,it becomes necessary to conduct researches in those regions and take appropriate preventive and corrective actions to reduce the presence of radon in the houses and in foundation soils. The importance of this research comes from benefiting from measurements of the change of radon concentration and its implications from both Geotechnical and Geo-environmental aspects.
The importance of this research due to the importance of the health services sector, and the importance of performance evaluation of public hospitals to see the progress of its performance towards achieving the standards and goals set at the required level , as well as a reference to the self-assessment techniques, using one EFQM model that on the one hand to assess today's performance of hospital, and situation and identify area to improve for survive, and on the other hand the map and guide of act of organizations for pay attention to effective factors, finding strong points and improve areas, down to the financial and non-financial performance indicators , and to propose appropriate measures to overcome the weaknesses in order to raise the capacity and activate services in the hospital .and to improve their performance for multiple stakeholders.
