The research focuses on finding planning methods based on measuring and monitoring the
basic indicators of internal combustion engines (Diesel engines) in order to determine the
critical case of the engines, which determines the expected time for t
he engine or for some
of its basic parts to be sent for comprehensive maintenance.
The wear ratio of one of the basic components of the engine was also determined, we also
chose the diameter of the cylinder and the corrosion that happens to it in order to
determine the engine's lifetime and determine the moment when the engine should be sent
for comprehensive maintenance.
By observing a large number of engines put in repair in the industrial area in Lattakia,
which are 30 engines of different types of diesel and gasoline, and with different
capacities, it was noticed that about 15% of these engines were not exploited and invested
the entire work period designed for them. Also it was noticed that 20% of them have
stopped working because of the severe corrosion of parts, components and mechanics of
these engines, which led to their damage and their inability to do their work on a regular
basis. This has contributed to increased consumption of fuel and Lubricating materials,
which causes damage to the national economy.
The proposed planning method for determining the critical case of the engine when
comparing the schematic results with the practical results of the engines has proved its
efficiency and accuracy with an error rate of no more than 6% This allows it to be applied
and adopted as an effective way to determine the actual lifetime of the engine and compare
it with the life time of investing the engine mentioned in the manufacturer's catalogs when
operating the engine under normal conditions.
Rural areas form a large part of Syria's coastal area. Linking between these areas and city
centers transact of a network of roads. Each of these roads and transport means form the
rural transport system which characterized by general characteristi
cs of low levels of
traffic, economic activity and population density, and long distances between centers such
as service centers. The presenting of services, operations and maintenance characterize at
high costs, and there are often difficult geographical and natural conditions.
Vehicle operating costs refer to costs that vary with vehicle usage, including fuel, tires,
maintenance, repairs…etc., which dependent on the mileage.
Transportation agencies and maintenance workshops were visited during this study. As
well as, interviews have been done with a random sample of public transport drivers
working on some rural axes in the coastal area, in order to obtain the required information
about the vehicle operating and maintenance costs.
The study concluded by identifying the most important factors that may effect on the tariff
of passenger transport on rural axes (maintenance of the vehicle, fuel costs, quality of the
road .....) and proposing a number of recommendations aimed at improving the public
transport system and raising its efficiency in rural areas.
our present work is to study the effects of MgO, the specific
fuel consuming, and the hot corrosion effects on thermal boilers
and the SOX ,NOX compound produced in the exhausting
steam,(or gases).
In this study, a simulation of the MTR-22MW reactor and a study
of standard and mixed fuel combustion using the Codes GETERA
and MCNP5.
The Results of the simulation showed that the operation time of the
reactor in the case of standard fuel is 274 days and if the use of
mixed fuel is 135 days.
The paper presents a research hybrid systems
(hydrogen-photovoltaic) for a mobile phone station in an area far from the
network or can be mobile in a desert area. This study investigates and
design a renewable energy-based energy system for a mobi
le phone
station. The proposed energy system includes of the following main
components: photovoltaic panels, fuel cells, water analyzer and batteries,
as well as a diesel generator.
In this research proposed system components will be studied in
order to recover flare gases at outstations of the oil fields which not
connected to any gas plant, hence they send continuously the entire
associated gases to the flare, and how to de
termine the proposed
recovery system operating parameters in order to recover the
mentioned gases and reuse them in central process facilities, where
a number of gas turbines which have a dual system (gas - diesel)
located at Elwared central process facility consume a huge amount
of diesel, while the associated gas in Elwared related outstations
especially Elahmar burns (2.5 MMSCFD).
The research aims to study the effect of the distribution water on
Proton Exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), and the
relationship of membrane thickness and the effects of changes in
thickness depending on the amount of water contained within the
membrane. The research also aims to change the effect of humidity
on the effectiveness of the membrane proton through the diffusion
coefficient and the coefficient of the flow electral osmotic. The
research includes the study of humidity on the cell performance at
constant temperature and its effect on the input interface.
Studies have proven that the indicatingpressure chart of marine engine cylinder can providemany information not only about pressure, but also about a large number of parameters that are useful in enhancing engine performance. Therefore, in this resea
rch paper, we attempt to study the indicators that complete the physical image of the work cycle. This attempt uses an elaborate and comprehensive mathematical model for obtaining and using these parameters in order to form a clear image of the work cycle based on the dynamics of heat release in the cylinder, for the purposes of enhancing performance and achieving a more efficient, more economical mechanical operation. As a result we will reach a number of conclusions and recommendations which, upon being approved and used, can help to achieve with great mathematical accuracy a more optimized characteristic of the work cycle.

The research aims to reach fuel conservation opportunities and environment Protection while heating the water, by comparing the most common uses of primary and secondary energy carriers in our country . For example, water heating using electricity ge
nerated by fuel oil and gas, or the direct use of gas and diesel oil for water heating.
The coast of heating the water domestic uses was calculated by various ways, in order to find a low coast method and to avoid environmental damage.
In this research ,the conservation of primary energy for water heating while using gas and diesel oil boilers, was 4 times larger compared to the use of electricity generated by gas and fuel oil .As a result, the coast of water heating using gas burner was 4 times lower, while the coast of water heating using gas boiler was 10 times lower, compared to the coast of electricity heating method. this research also showed, that the use of gas fuel , is the best water heating method, concerning fuel conservation and environment Protection.
The experiment was conducted at the Agricultural Research Center in Salamiah in Hama province, in
clay loam soil in October 2010. Furat tractor with a single hung disk harrow was used as a machinery unit,
using three speeds. the seeding with drill
seeder was executed after Applying tillage one time for the systems
required one face, and twice for the systems required two, while a plot of land was left for" zero tillage"
system.
