This study aims to investigate the work values embedded in the Arabic language textbooks taught in the first and second cycles of basic education in the Sultanate of Oman. The number of textbooks analyzed is 18. The study adopted a quantitative as well as a qualitative approach to content analysis.
The problem of this research is represented by this question : what are the available aesthetic values in the Arabic language book "My language" for the fourth grade of the first circle (series) of the basic educational stage? research aims to rea lize the aesthetic values of the book "My language" for the fourth grade in the first series of the basic educational stage and Presenting suggestions on the light of this study which enrich the book in aesthetic values ,This research helps in presenting Suggestions which can help the designers of the books and courses in developing the Arabic language books for other grades, the methodology of research depends on the descriptive method in presenting the problem and explain its sides the objective limits the Arabic language book “My language “for the fourth grade in the Syrian Arab Republic and the time limits the year 2013 – 2014,the research tools are a card for analyzing the Arabic language book “My language” into aesthetic values, A card for analyzing the Arabic language book “My language” into aesthetic values depending on the content, and the results of the research The Research gets the following results , for answering the aniston the book concentrates on aesthetic values and neglects others, some of values are available100%and a large section of them are available17% ,there are general suggestions, which they are the following 1- Revising the book is the subject of this study according to its results2-Studying the teacher and education supervisors and the specialists before starting developing the studying books,3-Doingsimilar researches for the Arabic language books ”MyLanguage”,
This research aims at recognizing the extent of biological books in sexual education concepts of the last three classes of basic education. In order to achieve this following questions got answers: 1- What are the concepts of sexual education that are to be contained in the biological books relevant to the last three classes of basic education stage which are in harmony with teen-agers period? 2-What are the concepts of sexual education mentioned in the biological books required for the last three classes of basic education in Syria and what are their ration?
The current research aimed to identify the most important factors affecting on readability of (Arabic is my language) books for the first stage of primary education from the standpoint of the first stage teachers. And to achieve this aim, the researc her used the descriptive approach, and prepared a questionnaire composed of (32) factors of readability factors fall under four field. After confirming the validity and reliability, the researcher carrying it out on a random sample, which consisted of (150) teachers of first stage in Damascus schools. The research found the following results: - The Most readability factors of (Arabic is my language) books, are related to the paragraph, word, style and output, and sentence; the (readability factors related to the paragraph) has the highest degree of influence with relative weight (73.5%), with a great effect. Followed by (readability factors related to the word), with a relative weight (70.2%), and also has a great effect. Then (readability factors related to the style and output), with a relative weight (68%), and has moderately effect. The (readability factors related to the sentence) was less influential factor; it came with a relative weight (66.6%), and also has moderately effect. The overall result of readability factors related to the four fields has relative weight (69.5%), with great effect. - There are significant differences among the averages of the views of the Arabic language teachers about the most important readability factors in the (Arabic is my language) books for the first stage of primary education according to each of the variables training courses and years of experience for those who follow the courses, and experienced (over 10 years). Based on the research results, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and proposals relating to the need for taking readability factors when choosing educational texts, and the need for further studies in this field.
