This Research presents a detailed study and practical design for the construction, programming and implementation of the system to receive SMS messages sent from a mobile phone or more to the SIM card placed with in the circuit (GSM-MODULE) connected in turn with a microcontroller which translates and shows this message on the optical matrix.
The corrosion of biogas pipes and equipments damage as generators, boilers and coprocessors is one of the most real important problems in Damascus wastewater treatment plant (at Adra region). These problem caused high financial losses and costs , t hat it required studying and solving. Biogas is the result of an aerobic digestion process of sludge, it contains about 50-70% of methane as a main resource of power, where the biogas considers free when it release spontaneity. Different analysis have been occurred on the biogas to show its components, tests on the pipes material and analysis of sediment material inside the pipes that caused by biogas.
This study aims at identifying the extent to which the postgraduate students in the Faculty of Computer Engineering at the University of Damascus possess the skills of using the computer by measuring their ability in using the computer according to the following fields: (Computer skills, computer skills, operating system skills, skills of using ready software, and skills of using the information network and the Internet). A special questionnaire was constructed to achieve the objectives of the study and presented to a group of competent arbitrators with the expertise to verify its validity and consistency. , Where the stability coefficient (0.94) was also used, and the Statistical Package Program (SPSS) was used to analyze the data Finally, the study led to a number of results which, in turn, led to some suggestions that could benefit computer workers, professionals and specialists in college, university and society.
Field survey was conducted to identify plant nematode genera associated with maize crop during the period August-October 2003. The study was carried out at two locations: Kharabo station (Damascus countryside) and Al-Mraieh station (Deir Al-zowr) in Syria. 36 complex samples were collected from roots and rhizosphere soil; nematodes were extracted by two methods Sieving and Baermann funnel, examined under microscope for identifi cation. Population density and absulute frequency for each genera were calculated. Results of field survey showed the presence of 14 genera of plant parasitic, 4 fungivorous, and 12 omnivorous nematodes in maize roots and rhizosphere soil .
This study was conducted at Kharabo dairy station belongs to the Faculty of Agriculture، University of Damascus. 692 productive records for 269 Holstein Friesian cattle were used to study the effects of calving year, age at first calving، calving season and parity on the adjusted 305-day milk yield. Data were exposed to GLM, analysis of variance was applied to determine the effect of studied factors and differences between averages were compared according to Duncan test using SPPS 17. The overall mean for (305-d milk) was 6222.6 ± 62.01 kg. and affected significantly (P < 0.001) by calving year and parity and (P<0.05) by age at first calving. No significant effect for season was observed. Results suggested that better management practices and improving the feeding status might help increasing the 305-d milk and making the status more economic efficient in the dairy cattle at Kharabo Farm.
