Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is among the most economically important crops world-wide and in Syria as well. It is highly responsive to different tissue culture techniques. In vitro culture of potato cv. 'Draga' (mid-early) was established thro ugh meristem tip culture.
This research studies the competitiveness ability of Syrian exports and the major factors empowering this ability, the availability of these factors considers one of the most important elements to ensure maximum productivity and best use of resources , and thus reach higher rates of economic growth, taking into account the importance of analyzing the excellence elements which Syrian Exportation Sector owns in light of all restrictive factors facing competitiveness ability including production costs quality and government role, this research identified a group of remarks and conclusions indicating that although Syria owns market power elements but they are not invested in a sufficient way. Therefore, the Syrian market is weak with respect to the competitiveness ability, in addition to a clear weakness of the competitiveness of the Syrian exportations, in particular the industrial exportations. This results in the need to implement a group of recommendations or solutions in order to overcome this dilemma. The forefront of these recommendations is the need to support the Syrian exportation’s sectors that have the best competitiveness ability to compete in a clear and transparent framework of strategy for external trade.
Development of the nursing profession and address future shortages in the labor force depends largely on the ability to attract young people to enter it, to attract these young people, it should start to identify the important factors that influence their choice of nursing profession. Descriptive research methodologywas followed and questionnaire to collect data was used. Most of student perceived nursing as humanitarian job, 60% of them selected nursing as their first choice. For most students (72.8%), the main reason they chose to study nursing is the desire to help others. They were mostly motivated by their parents to join nursing. Nursing College was the first source of information of nursing. Nearly half of the students made the decision to workin nursing after graduationand (40%) decided to pursue higher education,
Poor design is a major factor in reducing the overall performance of construction projects as well as being directly responsible for many projects cost overrun, delay and being plagued with rework, variations and disputation. This research discusse s the main factors affecting Design Quality in the Construction Industry in Syria. The result is based on a number of interviews and questionnaire surveys involving 54 designers, contractors and construction professionals. The survey identified 45 different factors classified in categories related to designer, management of the design process, owner and design documents. The severity of those factors was measured by the level of importance and was ranked according to the importance index. It was concluded that, insufficient overall design time, method of selecting the designer based on the lowest price offer, lack of documentation and changes client’s requirements were the most important factors. The results show that designers and contractors have different perceptions of the quality of design factors. The aim of this study is to assist all construction parties to plan effectively before starting a project during the design phase in order to minimize problems and eliminate extra costs needed to complete the defective design. Finally, some recommendations were made in order to improve the design quality in the construction industry.
This research was conducted I during 2009-2010 at Dier Alhajar station, General Commission for Scientific Agricultural Research to determine the length of calving interval (CI) and the effect of sire, calving year, calving season, parity and age o f cow and their interactions in Shami Cattle. It was concluded that CI can be reduced by better management and providing good and suitable feeding conditions.
