The research about the phenomenon of informal economy so as to cover the large number of activities that differ from one country to another was to clarify the concept of the informal economy and standards, and to try to measure the size of the informal economy in order to clarify the relationship between the informal economy and the export and import movement in Syria. In order to achieve the objectives of the research was descriptive analysis of the phenomenon of informal economy and statistical method for data analysis through SPSS. The informal economy is considered the most important of economic issue which still concerns researchers. It is found in all states with different economic patterns and affects all social strata and all age groups. This type of economy forms a high p ercentage of the gross domestic product of most countries of the world. Accordingly, this research came to clarify the concept of the informal economy, and identify its components. As well as, this research showed the most important reasons to pay individuals to work at informal activities. Also this research illustrated the significant impact of school dropout and the effect of corruption at increasing the informal economy also showed the most important characteristics of workers in the informal economy.
Recent technological developments have led to a major development in the ebusiness environment, announcing the emergence of the new term “knowledge economy” as one of the most important economic nomenclatures. E-commerce which is considered as one of the most significant applications of this economy has evolved a lot in the last decade according to the evolution of its revenue in many countries around the world. E-commerce contributes to the economic development through its positive impact on a range of economic indicators such as GDP and export development. The aim of this research is to study whether there was a correlation between the development of electronic commerce and the amount of Syrian exports and imports during the period between 2000 and 2010. The results showed a good correlation between the above mentioned variables, but with no possibility to assert whether it was a causal correlation in the light of general economic conditions in Syria during that period.
The research aims to study the most important economic efficiency of agricultural foreign trade indicators, and to identify the most important problems facing the export companies and organizations working in the field of foreign agricultural trade , using descriptive and analytical approach in the treatment of research data. The results show that the annual growth rate of Syrian exports during the period 2005 to the first year of the crisis in 2011 amounted to about 15%, and from 2005 until the end of 2014 about 1%. The export strength top of the share of latency (56%), followed by tomatoes (53%), and apples (26%), then peaches and lentils (24%), while zero, export strength of the sheep, but some products such as wheat, barley, chickpeas and corn. Search results have been reached and there are some problems and obstacles faced by the operating companies, including the lack of accurate marketing information especially for foreign markets, and the non-availability of required quantities for export to the required specifications, or the availability of skilled labor on the post-harvest operations, in addition to dent some of the ministerial organs, Health and customs and taxes ... and others.
This research aims to study the Gat arrangement and how it reflects on and affects the economies of the undeveloped countries as in the case of Syria. There might be advantages and disadvantages of Global Trade Organization on the Syrian economy i n spite of the fact that this treaty has been signed in a time of increase in industrial production in the developed countries which aim to sell their products and increase their profits. Perhaps, Syria's joining Gat might benefit and help develop its industries, decrease the cost of production and improve the economy.
