Machine learning solutions are often criticized for the lack of explanation of their successes and failures. Understanding which instances are misclassified and why is essential to improve the learning process. This work helps to fill this gap by pro
posing a methodology to characterize, quantify and measure the impact of hard instances in the task of polarity classification of movie reviews. We characterize such instances into two categories: neutrality, where the text does not convey a clear polarity, and discrepancy, where the polarity of the text is the opposite of its true rating. We quantify the number of hard instances in polarity classification of movie reviews and provide empirical evidence about the need to pay attention to such problematic instances, as they are much harder to classify, for both machine and human classifiers. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first systematic analysis of the impact of hard instances in polarity detection from well-formed textual reviews.
Dictionary-based methods in sentiment analysis have received scholarly attention recently, the most comprehensive examples of which can be found in English. However, many other languages lack polarity dictionaries, or the existing ones are small in s
ize as in the case of SentiTurkNet, the first and only polarity dictionary in Turkish. Thus, this study aims to extend the content of SentiTurkNet by comparing the two available WordNets in Turkish, namely KeNet and TR-wordnet of BalkaNet. To this end, a current Turkish polarity dictionary has been created relying on 76,825 synsets matching KeNet, where each synset has been annotated with three polarity labels, which are positive, negative and neutral. Meanwhile, the comparison of KeNet and TR-wordnet of BalkaNet has revealed their weaknesses such as the repetition of the same senses, lack of necessary merges of the items belonging to the same synset and the presence of redundant narrower versions of synsets, which are discussed in light of their potential to the improvement of the current lexical databases of Turkish.
Theoretical studies and experimental measurements have
proved the existence of magnetic moments of the neutral
neutrino particle, so that its participation in
the electromagnetic interactions in the nature cannot be
neglected. The problem of the solar neutrino (Decreasing
the solar neutrino bundle, which arrived to the earth) was
one of the an understandable issues in the neutrino physics.
This piece of research attempts to trace the textual study through examining the
excellencies of Ash-shanfara’s text, next to its artistic secrecies that have been neglected
by those researches who were busy with stories, tales, language and (ideol
ogy). However,
the literary heritage has received a considerable amount folkloric tales and superstitions. In
the past, linguists had been attracted to the al-Lamiyiah semantically and syntactically. A
few contemporary studies had mentioned few selections, the thing that triggered the sence
of poetical in their veins, which found it enough to portray a constellation of its intellectual
proposals. Thus al-Lamiyiah survived, being an artistic masterpiece a virgin soil.
Henceforward comes this research to scrtunize the strata of secrets of artistic aesthetics,
starting from the dynamic polarity structure that systematize the concluded presenceabsence
relationships, and ending with crystallizing the poetical personality (not the
historical) in the poetical heritage. It unleashes the varieties of the ‘ego’ within its unique
tissue ascertaining the poetry is creativity, and not merely virgin before natural scenaries,
or successive episodes through time, nether is it a description per se. Rather, it is an
intuitive creation that manipulates nature, among many other things, for the sake of its
artistic intentions.
The research was carried out at Agricultural Scientific Research Center of Hama
in tow season 2010/2011. Aiming to evaluate the effect of nitrogen fertilization and
planting date on some Productive and Technological characters of sugar beet Mono
g
erm(Simper cultivar) and Multi germ (HM10 cultivar). Results showed an effect of
fertilization on productive and technological characters of sugar beet. Increasing the rate of
nitrogen fertilizer to 250kg N.ha¹ caused a significant increase in root yield and actual
sugar yield (12.88 , 12.15 ton . ha¹) respectively, but it badly affected the sugar content in
the roots, juice polarity and juice purity (14.68, 15.95, 80.45%) respectively. Mono germ
Simper was found significantly superior compared to Multi germ HM10 in root yield, Brix,
root sugar content and juice polarity. Results showed that planting date 1/11 was found
significantly superior compared to dates 1/10, 15/10 for root yield, Brix, juice purity,
actual sugar yield. In conclusion, Simper (Mono germ) was suitable in planting date 1/11 at
nitrogen level of (200-250kg N.ha¹).
Palaeomagnetism and some magnetic and physical properties (magnetic
susceptibility, intensity of remanent magnetisation, ac current electrical
conductivity and density) of many basaltic samples were studied.
