We investigate ways to compose complex concepts in texts from primitive ones while grounding them in images. We propose Concept and Relation Graph (CRG), which builds on top of constituency analysis and consists of recursively combined concepts with predicate functions. Meanwhile, we propose a concept composition neural network called Composer to leverage the CRG for visually grounded concept learning. Specifically, we learn the grounding of both primitive and all composed concepts by aligning them to images and show that learning to compose leads to more robust grounding results, measured in text-to-image matching accuracy. Notably, our model can model grounded concepts forming at both the finer-grained sentence level and the coarser-grained intermediate level (or word-level). Composer leads to pronounced improvement in matching accuracy when the evaluation data has significant compound divergence from the training data.
Vector representations have become a central element in semantic language modelling, leading to mathematical overlaps with many fields including quantum theory. Compositionality is a core goal for such representations: given representations for wet' and fish', how should the concept wet fish' be represented? This position paper surveys this question from two points of view. The first considers the question of whether an explicit mathematical representation can be successful using only tools from within linear algebra, or whether other mathematical tools are needed. The second considers whether semantic vector composition should be explicitly described mathematically, or whether it can be a model-internal side-effect of training a neural network. A third and newer question is whether a compositional model can be implemented on a quantum computer. Given the fundamentally linear nature of quantum mechanics, we propose that these questions are related, and that this survey may help to highlight candidate operations for future quantum implementation.
Service Oriented Computing (SOC) is changing the way of developing software systems. Each web service has a specific purpose to serve, so it can not satisfy users’ request. In this paper, we propose a Web services composition method based on OWL on tology, and design an automatic system model for services discovery and composition. This method uses domain ontology and WordNet to calculate matching between input and output parameters and uses Category ontology to solve the problem of semantic heterogeneity in web service description. We use services with single input and single output and cost as QoS criteria. This method can enhance the efficiency and accuracy of service composition, and the experiments are used to validate and analyze the proposed system.
The chemical content of Cactus grandiflorus L was studied from amino acids and sugars. The duration of these materials in the branches and plant flowers was determined and the relative proportions of these compounds were determined by using the thin layer chromatography methods(TLC) and the highly efficient liquid chromatography( HPLC).
Due to the prominent place composition holds in teaching French to non-native speakers, this article examines the effectiveness of formative evaluation in improving the writing skills of second year students in the department of French language. I n addition, by showing the difference in the scoring results between the students who followed the formative evaluation and those who didn’t, this article aims to illustrate the impact of distributing copies of the grading scale to students during the training period.
This research aims to decrease the cost of last production stages through decreasing the cost of potential casing repair by avoiding the problems that casing string may be exposed to. Such problems are caused by the temperature effect of salt dril ling fluids as well as other fluids normally existed in the annular behind casing at the nonecemented intervals.
This research aims to increase the production lifetime of oil and gas wells through avoiding the problems that production casing string may be exposed to. Such problems are caused by the effect of different drilling fluids as well as other fluids normally existed in the annular behind casing at the none-cemented intervals.
Due to the lack informations on Biochemical of jellyfish in the Syrian waters, the aim of this paper is determining the nutritional value and organic content for each of the species Rhopilemanomadica, Pelagianoctiluca and Aequorea forskalea, and co mpared the biochemical composition of the three types , so the comparison showed clear differences in the content of organic material, the sugar were the most concentrated in the three species and lipid comes in second class, and then followed by the protein content and organic carbon.A.forskalea was the most containing sugar and R.nomadica the most lipids content, and P.noctiluca were the most protein content.R.nomadic was the highest content in organic carbon, R.nomadica and P.noctiluca were convergent contents of organic phosphorus, while the least contain of organic nitrogenwas in A.forskalea.
The research aims to study the vulnerability of these currents of different patterns of expression in accordance with the principles for each type of the above-mentioned patterns, By practical study of two different models in place; which was influenced by different expression types according to the varying proportions, However, they are similar in the type of building and the time period.
Carob pod is the fruit of the carob tree (Ceratonia siliqua L.). The fruit and its products, sold both in large stores and local markets, contribute strongly to the diet of people living in the Mediterranean areas of Europe. This study reports th e composition of carob pods sampled in Homs, Hama and Coast Regions
