Artificial intelligence review:
Research summary
Critical review

This paper investigates the proximate analysis of zooplankton and the jellyfish Catostylus perezi through studying the content of proteins, lipids and carbohydrates (as glucose) in three different stations of Al-Khobar coastal area (Saudi Arabia) during four seasons. Physical and chemical factors of water, specific composition, abundance and biomass of zooplankton were also studied. The results indicate clear temporal and spatial differences in the content of organic matter of zooplankton. Proteins values were between 118.8 and 439.7 mg/g and lipids values were between below detection levels and 55.2 mg/g; whereas carbohydrates values ranged between 0.035 and 0.371 mg/g as dry weight. The results indicate clear differences in the content of organic matter of the jellyfish parts especially the medusa.
The biochemical composition of some species of Phaeophyceae (Cystoseira): Cystoseira compressa, Cystoseira barbata, Cystoseira elegans, Cystoseira amentacea, Cystoseira barbatula, Cystoseira caespitosa, have been studied. The algal specimens have been collected from Ibn Hani coast north of lattakia in spring 2014. The soluble sugar varies between (13- 56.78%) weight/dry weight [w/dw]. C.amentacea has the highest content of proteins (21.76%), and C.barbata has the lowest (9.51%). Lipid varied between (1.25- 5.55%) [w/dw]. The highest content of ash was in C.caespitosa (31.18%), and the lowest in C.amentacea (23.84%). Iodine was: C.compressa and C.caespitosa (0.68 %), C.barbata (0.69 %), C.barbatula (0.7%), C.amentacea (0.71%), C.elegans (0.8%). Mannitol was within the range (2.91-4%) [w/dw]. Results of biochemical composition of studied species showed the differences between the percentage of values, and this variety affects on the economical value for the species, also affects on the major herbivorous food, that affects on their environment and their community composition.
This research was carried out during the period 08/28/2012 - 07/29/2013 in order to determine the qualitative composition of Puffer Fishes (Tetraodontidae) in the marine water of Latakia. Fish samples were collected from three stations (Borj Islam , Al madina al riyadiah and Jableh), the total of fishes were / 255 / individuals. All fish individuals were classified, preserved and placed at the High Institute of Marine Research Laboratory, some biological factors of the collected fish (K%, GSI%,HIS%) were studied. Results had revealed the presence of five species of Puffer Fish belong to three genera of Tetraodontidae: Lagocephalus sceleratus, L. spadiceus, L. suezensis, Sphoeroides pachygaster, Torquigener flavimaculosus. S. pachygaster species (migratory species from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea) has been recorded for the first time in the marine water of Syria. Results showed that L. suezensis were more coincidence species in the catch. The amounts caught of Puffer Fishes varied according to the stations; the highest was in Borj Islam. K% was almost similar in all species, while GSI% and HSI% varied according to the species and seasons.
We used Bacteriological studies to determine the quality of water, through quick methods, simple and sensitive detection of water contaminants, and in particularly bacteria that indicated the health status of water quality. We presented in this study the effect of sewage on distribution nutrients and the Streptococci bacteria. Seven samples were taken during the period 2013 to 2014, at a rate of two cruises per season. Some of these samples were taken in near sewage stations, others, to make a comparison, were taken in distant ones. The study showed an increase in nutrients. These bacteria were linked to a positive relationship with nutrients because the presence of nutrients stimulated bacterial growth.
This research focuses on determining elemental concentrations of copper and lead (Cu &pb) in the muscles and liver Boops boops kind of the estuary of the AL Kabeer Alshemaly River and the fishing port and the promenade using atomic absorption tech nique. The results showed a significant increase in the concentrations of lead during summer 2014 in each of the muscle tissue and the liver of the fish examined (28.28ppm& 4.48ppm, respectively) at the mouth of the estuary of the AL Kabeer Alshemaly River and the fishing port and the promenade (11.19ppm& 3.75ppm, respectively), and this could be due to the different nature of human activities and sources of pollution to this element between the two regions. The results showed a marked seasonal change in the concentration of copper within the liver tissue of fish studied, where the highest concentration in the fishing port and the promenade( 5630.02 ppm) in autumn 2014, the Supreme( 3402.27ppm) value in the AL Kabeer Alshemaly River the estuary of summer. While the results did not show the variable in concentrations of copper in muscle . Theconcentrations were comparable between the two stations somewhat, with the highest concentrations in the summer in Bouth the fishing port and the promenade 1497.70ppm) and(1107.91 ppm) the AL Kabeer Alshemaly River. Results indicate that the accumulation of the studied elements (Cu &pb) in the liver compared to muscle (and the reason is boiled physiological differences in the functions of each of the two members) and to the existence of a good correlation between the concentration in the muscle changes with the typical length of which points to increased accumulation of these elements in these fish with increased growth,Noting the high concentration of the studied elements in females more than those recorded in males.
