This study was conducted in Lattakia Governorate (Burj Islam Village) to study the level of contamination of the greenhouses soil with the two organic phosphorous pesticides Dimethoate and Dichlorovos. The optimal wavelength was determined for the an alysis of both pesticides using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) technology with UV/DAD detector. According to the results, the optimal wavelength for the analysis of Dimethoate is 200 nm, while it was 195 nm for the analysis of Dichlorovos. The recovery of Dimethoate was estimated at wavelength 200 nm which was 101.33 ± 3.868 and for dichlorvos at wavelength 195 nm when it was 98.995 ± 2.078. The results also showed that the greenhouses soil were contaminated with the residues of both pesticides, Dimethoate was detected in concentrations between (0.839 - 2.668) ppm, while Dichlorovos concentrations were between (10.046 - 44.359) ppm, indicating extensive use of both especially Dichlorovos, whose concentrations were higher than Dimethoate's in the studied sites.
This research outlines the legal regulations for this kind of pollution in Iraq, Egypt and Syria by defining pesticides, their source and harmful effects on humans and the environment; and then outlining the laws that control it in the above-menti oned countries which put preventive and punitive measures to protect air from pollution by pesticides to ensure the best level of protection of public health; one of the aims of administrative regulations for the protection of the environment. It also presents applicable suggestions and recommendations that help any one who aims at reaching good management of pesticides and a clean environment.
The aim of this study is to examine the role of oxidative stress (OS) by measuring Malondialdehye (MDA) levels to test Lipid Peroxidation as a marker of oxidative stress in serum samples in toxic injuries resulting from exposure to anticholinesterase insecticides (organophosphates and carbamates) in greenhouse workers in the coastal region of Syria. The study population comprised two groups (the majority of males): greenhouse workers who prepare and spray pesticides (100 workers, aged 18-61) and Control group (not never handle pesticides, 50 subjects, aged 19-58). Malondialdehye (MDA) levels were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). There was a significant difference in MDA levels in greenhouse workers group compared to control group (P˂0.05). Therefore, MDA levels could be considered as a biomarker for oxidative stress in greenhouse workers exposed to anticholinesterase insecticides and might be a useful diagnostic aid and monitoring exposure in those workers as well as cholinesterase enzyme.

In This study it has been uses a network for monitoring the pollution with organochlorine pesticides in There marine stations at Lattakia coast: Fishing port, AfamiaCoast, High Institute Of Marine Research Coastusing Cages contained species of musse lswitch are filter feeders Brachidontes varibilis. Samples had been collected from Lattakia coast. The results showed a great efficiency of the made network for monitoring the organic pollution in marine environment. It has been recorded a concentration of DDTs is accumulated lower than 2ng/g , Endosulfane and HCB is lower than 1 ng/g too. The results showed that the HCH compounds is dominant in all stations.organochlorine pesticides is accumulated mostly in the biota of station Fishing port, Afamia Coast
