Purpose: Lacunar infarcts is an important stroke subgroup with unique clinical and
pathologic features, but risk factors for lacunar infarcts have been rarely documented. To
address this matter, we studied 65 patients had lacunar infarction at Depa
rtment of
Neurology , Tishreen University Hospital , Lattakia , Syria , and 65 controls during the
period between May 2017 – May 2018 .
Methods: We obtained information concerning risk factor exposure status among the
patients by a structured questionnaire , we recorded age , sex , blood pressure , glucose ,
heart diseases , cigarette smoking , alcohol drinking , physical exercise for patiens and
controls .We do laboratory tests and ECG and echocardiography and CT brain or MRI .
Results: Significantly increasing the risk of lacunar stroke were hypertension
(P-value=0.0001) and (OR=9.9), Current smokers (P-value=0.002) and (OR=5.2), diabetes
(P-value=0.001) and (OR=5.3) , whereas frequent physical exercise was associated with a
significantly decreased risk) P-value=00001( and (OR=2.6). There was no risk of
lacunar stroke associated with heart disease (P-value=0.6) (OR=0.8) , high cholesterol (Pvalue=
1) and (OR=1) , alcohol drinking (P-value=0.7) and (OR=0.8).
Conclusions: Patients with hypertension or diabetes, current smokers, those who
have not heart disease, are at a higher risk of lacunar stroke, whereas those who undertake
regular physical exercise may be at lower risk.
This research do the Feasibility important technical of EOR
(Enhanced Oil Recovery ) techniques (Chemical Methods ) as
(Polymers, Surfactants, Alkaline ) in Syrian fields (Al Gbiseh/Case
Study/ ) , because of its high benefits in worldwide.
High Voltage Direct Current systems have been used for
transporting electrical energy for very long distances, at high
voltages (100- 1000 kv). On utilize thyristorized or transistorized
power converters, one converter is working as rectifier at s
ending
side, and the other is working as inverter at receiving side. Back to
Back Converters are used also where the rectifier and inverter are at
the same station, transmission line has hundreds of meters as long.
In our model we used non controlled three phase rectifier as
sending station and controlled three phase bridge as receiving
station (Graitze).

This research was conducted to study the feasibility of using
Alkaline Flooding (AP) to increase the displacement factor from
the (AL- Rasein Field).
At first ,a literature review of the Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR)
methods in general was conducted ,especially Chemical Methods
,including Alkaline Flooding Methods.
With the increased loading of Syrian power system, the
problem of maintaining the voltages within the acceptable ranges
has become a major concern in power system planning and
operation.

Shunt Capacitors as facility to improve voltage and evaluate the
voltage profile in the Syrian transmission network 230-400kV,
determine weak bus bars of voltage, as well as the generation ,the
consumption and losses of active and reactive power.
The contribution of our research include building an artificial neural
network in MATLAB program environment and improvement of
maximum loading point algorithm, to compute the most critical
voltage stability margin, for on-line voltage stability a
ssessment,
and a method to approximate the most critical voltage stability
margin accurately. a method to create a (ARTIFICIAL NEURAL
NETWORK) approach.
The aim of this study is to calculate the electrical field (EF) of some
types of high voltage insulators by using numerical methods. There
are different methods, which are used to do this, finite element is
the most important one.
It is possible
to find EF in 2D or 3D systems by using
Matlab/pdetool, which distinguishes with big capabilities in
calculation and view the results, additionally, it is available, cheap

INTROUDACTION : Arterial chronic hypertension (HTN) is a well-known associated with myocardial infarction because it is un cardiovascular risk factor for development of atherosclerosis, And there are risk factors shared by the two diseases, such as g
enetic risk, insulin resistance, sympathetic hyperactivity, and vasoactive substances (i.e., angiotensin II); In patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) with ST elevation , the prevalence of antecedent hypertension is 32% and these percentage increases with age and in women
METHODES:Our study is formed in service of soine intensive in al Assad hospital in Lattaquia ,it includes every patient was admitted in our service for myocardial infarction with ST elevation within period from January 2014 to juin 2015 At admission we took the following information: age .sex, history of hypertension . therapy And the cardiovascular risk factures as diabetes , hyperlipidemia, smoking, familial history, obesity RESULTS: in our study,in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI)withST elevation , the prevalence of antecedent hypertension is 43%(39\90) women48.5(17\35) men 40%(22\55) and this percentage increase with age and more in women , reaching 100% in patients over the age of 80 year ,in our study 48%of patients with hypertension don’t take their treatment And 90%have more than one risk factor CONCLUSION :The proportion of hypertension in patients with myocardial infarction with ST elevation in our study was 43%.
The pollution is one of the most important problems facing the
electrical networks, especially in the Syrian Arab Republic, and
after that expanded of pollution sources on the one hand, and
because the power supply has become related to all economic
and daily life sections.
The problem of gliding discharges on high voltage equipment is faced in practice, coith inclined interface, such as cable terminations, bushings.
Many researches present very important results about the relationship between the applied voltages and
this partial discharge . But studies about the insulation systems that have small cross capacitor or that have air gaps are limited, considering many points, one of them: the discharge procedure looks
like the partial discharge in insulators, with longitudinal interfaces.
Achieving precise relationships for such systems and finding the actual discharge behavior gives high scientific efficiency and important application for design of high voltages devices, especially when high voltages, which are changing with time voltage like alternatring and lightning voltages, are applied.
