This study includes the evaluation of the problem of seawater intrusion in Al-Bassa area in 2014 through chemical monitoring of a group of sampling wells, under certain condition that were subjected to the area during the research, representing by rainfall precipitation in the study area was only 500 mm/ year, as a result in the suspension of irrigation from 16 October lake and reuse of many abandoned pumping wells. This study founds an increasing in the salinity values in the Al- Bassa coastal area of summer in 2014, ranging between(665.6-6432mg/l)after increasing daily pumping rates, in addition to the increasing of chloride and sodium concentrations in most of sampling wells water in conjunction with high salinity levels. In the fall, the salinity values ranged between 490-950 mg / l. The geochemistry of Na/Cl indicates values less than 0.84 in most water samples during the summer, while in autumn this percentage was higher than 0.84 in most samples ,to be an indicator for marine water.
In this study, we study the applications of DCA technology to calculate the specifications of the reservoir by using the equation of the material balance in the modeling and simulation programs in order to estimate Geological reserve. This techniq ue is based on the analysis of the decline in production, which is the analysis of the previous data of the decline in production performance, which is expressed in the graphs that link the rate of production and time, or the rate of production and cumulative productivity. For each of the wells and reservoirs, and we will take in this research these curves from 1975 to 2005. We will specialize in research one of the fields of the Euphrates (Thayyem field– Alrutbah formation) hoping that this modest study will achieve the desired goal.
Objective: Keloid pose aesthetic and functional problems, in addition to being associated with disturbing clinical symptoms such as itching and pain, and current methods of treatment are limited in effectiveness. Clinical studies indicate that botuli num toxin (BTA) may prevent the formation of keloid and treat it, so the aim of this research was to compare the effectiveness of topical injection of botulinum toxin versus topical steroid injection in the treatment of keloid. Methods: The research sample included 23 patients from the dermatology clinic at Tishreen University Hospital in Lattakia between 2019 and 2020, with keloids. The number of keloids registered with the studied sample was 30 distributed to two groups: Group A receiving IL steroid repeated every 4 weeks for six sessions, Group B IL BTA 5 IU /cm3 repeated every 8 weeks for three sessions. Objective parameters (hardness, elevation, pigmentation and vasscularity), subjective complaints (itching, pain, and tenderness), patient satisfaction, and side effects were evaluated. Results: There was a 58.4% decrease in the Vancouver scale for group A, and 65.8% for group B, without a statistical difference between the two groups (P <0.05). A noticeable decrease in tenderness 85.9% in treatment group A and 82.7% in treatment group B. A significant decrease in elevation in A 79.4% while B had a slight decrease of 27%. For vascularity we observed a slight decrease in treatment group A of 17.7% without statistical significance, whereas in treatment group B there was a decrease of 58%. The itching improvement in treatment group B was shown to be greater with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Skin atrophy and telangiectasia were evident in 11 patients of group A. Conclusions: This study showed the efficacy and safety of topical toxin injection in treating keloid by improving objective and subjective criteria when compared to topical injection of corticosteroids. With fewer side effects reported for botulinum toxin.
Conditional Random Field (CRF) based neural models are among the most performant methods for solving sequence labeling problems. Despite its great success, CRF has the shortcoming of occasionally generating illegal sequences of tags, e.g. sequences c ontaining an I-'' tag immediately after an O'' tag, which is forbidden by the underlying BIO tagging scheme. In this work, we propose Masked Conditional Random Field (MCRF), an easy to implement variant of CRF that impose restrictions on candidate paths during both training and decoding phases. We show that the proposed method thoroughly resolves this issue and brings significant improvement over existing CRF-based models with near zero additional cost.
