In the last two decades, the use of advanced composite materials such as Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP) in strengthening reinforced concrete (RC) structural elements has been increasing. Research and design guidelines concluded that externally bo nded FRP could increase the capacity of RC elements efficiently. However, the linear stressstrain characteristics of FRP up to failure and lack of yield plateau have a negative impact on the overall ductility of the strengthened RC elements. Use of hybrid FRP laminates, which consist of a combination of either carbon and glass fibers, or glass and aramid fibers, changes the behavior of the material to a non-linear behavior. This paper aims to study the performance of reinforced concrete beams strengthened by hybrid FRP laminates.
In this study, several samples of a common polymer (aniline-phenolformaldehyde) we prepared by condensation polymerization method based on aniline, phenol, formaldehyde and in the presence of a catalyst of ammonia solution at different concentrations.
This research was carried out during two seasons 2014 – 2015 to study effect of seed coats on germination of endocarp, seed and embryos of two wild genotypes (M1, M2) of Mahaleb rootstock (Prunus mahaleb L.) prevailing in Alhaffa area, Lattakia. Th e experiments were done at Lattakia Scientific Agricultural Research center and Faculty of Agriculture at Tishreen University. The Results of the seeds planted on agar 0.7% in dark at 15 C° showed that no germination of the M1 endocarp VS late and low germination at 10% for the M2 endocarp starting after 98 days. As for seeds, the germination was (66.66%) and (53.33%) for M1 and M2, respectively. Removal of the woody coat (endocarp) and seed coat makes the germination faster. the embryos germination was (80%) and (60%) for M1 and M2, respectively.
Investigate studied the activity of some enzymes in zea maize plant seedlings cells, (Ghota 82) under the influence of phytohormone Auxin & growth regulators 2,4-D and IBA. Maize plant seeds were germinated in water medium for six days in darknes s and temperature of 260C. Then stem cells of the developing seedling were incupated in darkness with water or in different solutions of auxin, 2,4-D & IBA (50 mg/l) for 20 houre in 30 0C. Then magared the activity of α-Amylase, RNAase, Catalayse, Guaiacol Peroxidase, Ascorbate oxidase in the stem cells The results showed that the incupation has defferent effects.on hydrolysis and oxidative enzymes in zea maize plant seedlings cells.
