This study was conducted at the laboratories of Horticultural Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Damascus University to determine the effect of using three levels of sucrose (10, 30, 50 g /l) on chlorophyll content between healthy and vitrified plants of three varieties of Gypsophylla panicolata (Golantwo, Planshnet, Newlove). Results showed superiority of treatment 10 g / l sucrose in reducing vitrification percent to 36.78% compared with 62.57% for control (30 g/l) and with significant differences between varieties. In this study, the effect of different concentrations of sodium chloride (NaCl) (0, 50, 100, 150 mM) on some physiological characteristics and some growth indicators of SO4 grape rootstock propagated in vitro was studied at the laboratories of Gen eral Commission for Scientific Agricultural Research (GCSAR), Damascus/Syria. Results indicated that the increase of NaCl concentration up to 100 mM in culture medium led to reduce the growth indicators (survival plants, average of the plant length and average number of buds) with significant differences when compared with the control plants after 4 weeks from culturing on multiplication media, while treatment with 150 mM of sodium chloride led to death of all plants. Using the concentrations 50 and 100 mM of NaCl also caused decreasing the total chlorophyll content in the leaves.
The research was conducted to study the resistance of Nerium plant which are planting on sides of roads and the cities portals. The research was performed by studying the leaves of Nerium plant, through studying the length and weigh of the leaf, an d its area and water content. In addition to studying the wools and hiatus and chlorophyll concentration, and compared the results between the polluted region which is the entry of Banias City, and the control one which is the gardens of Tishreen University. The mean of a number of it was 12 in polluted region, compared with 14 in the control region. - A simple insignificant reduction in the concentration of chlorophyll A in polluted region compared with the control, where it attained (0.93 and 0.98), respectively. The Nerium oleander plant was resistance and tolerance to the air pollution.
The research was conducted in Dabba site for Agricultural Scientific Research at Lattakia region in the growing season 2011 during the period from early June to mid-October. The experiment included four cultivars of peanut (ICGV 92022, C16 local 262, Souri, Al-Baladi), three row spacing (40, 60, 80 cm), and two levels of number of plants per hole-1 (one plant per hole-1, two plants per hole-1). The experiment was designed by using split-split plot design with three replications. The results of the study showed that Al-Baladi variety was superior to all other cultivars in weight pods/plant (108.8 g), weight seeds/plant (56.8 g), weight 1000 seed (914.7 g) with yield of seeds reaching (3529 kg/h). On the other hand, ICGV 92022 was superior in number of mature pods (29.22 mature pod), in number of seeds/plant (53.90 seed) and in yield (3058 kg/h). Regarding the effect of row spacing, the spacing 80 cm between rows had given the highest values significantly for yield attributes in comparison with row spacing 40 and 60 cm. Yet the highest yield per unit area obtained with row spacing was 40 cm. The research aims to study the effect of soil content of gypsum on the Engineering Characteristics and the usability of compression. The effect of increasing the proportion of gypsum in the soil on the Atrberg limits values was studied, and found that an increase in the proportion of gypsum in the soil reduces the Plasticity. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Tissue Culture, Faculty of Agriculture, Tishreen University. Because of the importance of the food and economic of chickpea, two Winter chickpea cultivars (Ghab 4, Ghab 5) and two Vernal chickpea culti vars were used (ILC263, ILC1929) and planted in pots until flowering, so the floral buds were picked before opened and washed with distilled water and alcohol three times. Anthers were separated and treated at preliminary temperatures (4 Cْ for 48 hours, and 35 Cْ for 12 hours), then it washed with a solution of hypochlorite of sodium( Naocl 2%) for a period of 15 minute, and washed with distilled sterilized water ,then where planted on the environment Murashige and Skoog ( MS) equipped with 1, 3 and 5 mg/L of auxin 2,4, D, as well as 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 mg /L of Cytokinin Benzyl Amino Purine( BAP) individually and with interaction between them and incubated under conditions of 27 Cْ and 75% of the humidity and the intensity of 1500 Lux of light for 16 hours. The main objective of research was to study the effect of both preliminary heating treatment , quality and concentration of used hormone on producing callus from used chickpea cultivars anthers. Results showed difference in cultivars response in the treatment of both temperature and single hormone, so Ghab 5 cultivar was the most responsive to the formation of callus, while the results indicated that the highest percentage of the formation of callus was 40% when treated at 4 Cْ of Ghab 4 and Ghab 5 cultivars, while ILC263 cultivar showed less response in all the individual treatments for growth regulators. As well as results showed that the significant and catalyst role for using of hormones together with heat treatment, where each of Ghab 5, Ghab 4 and ILC1929 cultivars were the superiority, by the arrival of the percentage of 80% and 60%, respectively.
