We offered, in a previous paper, an ontology-based approach to recognize constraints in free-form service requests and provide services for users. Our system handles a service request by finding, from among many ontologies, the domain ontology that best matches the request and then uses the matched ontology to generate the service request constraints. Although our system is powerful in recognizing constraints and therefore servicing requests, the recognition process is a bottleneck due to the number of the tested ontologies and the amount of computations involved. This paper provides a novel approach to speed up the recognition process by (1) using ontology indexing and (2) excluding inapplicable regular expressions early in the process and thus reducing the number of applied regular expressions. Our experiments show that our techniques are effective in significantly reducing the amount of computations and therefore speeding up the recognition process.

In general, the aim of an automatic speech recognition system is to write down what is said. State of the art continuous speech recognition systems consist of four basic modules: the signal processing, the acoustic modeling, the language modeling and the search engine. While isolated word recognition systems do not contain language modeling, which is responsible for connecting words together to form understandable sentences.
The study aims to investigate hotel service quality effect on customer loyalty, by determining service quality dimensions (responsiveness, tangibility, sympathy) effect on customer loyalty. The study conducted on convenient sample of hotel customers in Lattakia. The study results show that hotel service quality affects customer loyalty. Whereas there is a positive relationship between hotel service quality and customer loyalty. Tangibility has the largest effect of service quality dimensions on customer loyalty, then responsiveness and finally sympathy.
This research offers assessment of the urban streets in Lattakia city center. These arterials form main traffic links between major regions. Therefore, Traffic improvement on these streets will have great effect on improving level of service (LOS), increasing speeds, decreasing delay time, decreasing the emissions and traffic accidents. This research was done on six streets surrounding Lattakia city center for defining LOS. Floating vehicle was used in this study. Many trips were executed during free flow and peak periods for measuring free flow speed, Travel time and average speed. Every street was divided into many sections. This study uses field method and computation method adopted by Highway Capacity Manual (HCM2000) for defining LOS on streets and comparing results. This study showed low values of LOS for most sections and it indicated deference between field method and computation method. Also, it expressed the necessary to take suitable procedures to increase LOS on these streets.
The desire to improve the overall performance of IP network leads to designing new QoS achitectures. The new Enhancement in providing quality of service (QoS) on the Internet is based on the Different Services (DiffServ). DiffServ divides traffic i nto small classes and allocates network resources on a per-class basis. In this architecture, packets are marked with different DiffServ code points (DSCP) at edge routers, and the priority for packets is given via the value of this field. On the other hand, MPLS is a fast forwarding mechanism that depends on Label's. The main advantage of MPLS is its support for traffic engineering which results in best utilization of network's resources like link capacity. The integration of using MPLS (as a forwarding mechanism) with DiffServ (as a QoS mechanism) offer high Quality of service especially for real time applications (such as VoIP, Video Conference). We evaluate the performance of MPLS-DiffServ networks in our research. We study QoS metrics as delay, variation of delay, upload response time, link utilization, packet loss for several kinds of traffic (Voice, Video, FTP) by using OPNET Simulator and we showed its superiority over MPLS network and pure IP ones. We compare our results with MPLS networks and pure IP ones. Our results showed superiority of MPLS-DiffServ over other kinds of networks. This is clear in decreasing delay ,delay variation, upload response time, queuing delay, reduction of lost packets and best utilization of link capacity.
location-based service applications have become increasingly popular in recent years as the increased use of these services has prompted researchers to pay attention to many factors affecting quality of service, such as accuracy, availability, respon siveness, and power consumption. In this paper an analytical study of these factors was presented and a series of adaptive solutions were introduced that significantly reduce energy consumption, thus increasing the efficiency of location-based service applications.
