Discrepancies exist among different cultures or languages. A lack of mutual understanding among different colingual groups about the perspectives on specific values or events may lead to uninformed decisions or biased opinions. Thus, automatically understanding the group perspectives can provide essential back-ground for many natural language processing tasks. In this paper, we study colingual groups and use language corpora as a proxy to identify their distributional perspectives. We present a novel computational approach to learn shared understandings, and benchmark our method by building culturally-aware models for the English, Chinese, and Japanese languages. Ona held out set of diverse topics, including marriage, corruption, democracy, etc., our model achieves high correlation with human judgements regarding intra-group values and inter-group differences

The current research aimed to reveal the reality of electronic infidelity and the reality of family stability among a group of Jordanian spouses representing the study sample. It also aimed to detect the existence of a statistically significant pos itive correlation relationship at (0.05) level of significance between electronic infidelity and family stability among a group of Jordanian spouses representing the study sample. The study sample consisted of (94) husbands and wives. The researcher adopted the Electronic Infidelity Scale and the Family Stability Scale as the study instruments. The researcher also adopted the analytical descriptive approach as the study approach. The researcher reached several results, including the following: The reality of electronic infidelity among a group of Jordanian spouses representing the study sample scored (very weak), The reality of family stability among a group of Jordanian spouses representing the study sample scored (very high), There is a negative correlation relationship between electronic infidelity and family stability, There are no statistically significant differences on the Electronic Infidelity Scale and the Family Stability Scale in the light of the following variables (gender - number of children - number of years of marriage), The researcher offered a number of recommendations, the most important of which are the following: the necessity of increasing the understanding between husbands and wives in the Jordanian society and working on closing the gap between thoughts and orientations to increase the levels of family stability and reduce marital infidelity.
We propose a framework to model an operational conversational negation by applying worldly context (prior knowledge) to logical negation in compositional distributional semantics. Given a word, our framework can create its negation that is similar to how humans perceive negation. The framework corrects logical negation to weight meanings closer in the entailment hierarchy more than meanings further apart. The proposed framework is flexible to accommodate different choices of logical negations, compositions, and worldly context generation. In particular, we propose and motivate a new logical negation using matrix inverse. We validate the sensibility of our conversational negation framework by performing experiments, leveraging density matrices to encode graded entailment information. We conclude that the combination of subtraction negation and phaser in the basis of the negated word yields the highest Pearson correlation of 0.635 with human ratings.
The Purpose of this study was to examine the Job Performance of the faculty staff at the Jordanian public universities. The sample of the study (n. 77) was randomly selected. A questionnaire of the Job Performance was developed by the researcher a s a measurement instrument. The results of the study indicated that the degree of the Job Performance among the participants was high (3.78). In light of the results, it was recommended that public universities should identify their faculty staff needs and work harder to meet these needs. Public universities should also have an open organizational climate to motivate the faculty staff. Additionally, it was recommended that material, as well as immaterial, incentives be awarded by their institutions as such incentives positively impact the Job Performance.
The research aimed to identifying the Opinion of Sample of worker at Tishreen University in the role strategic Planning importance, Crisis Educational Management, also to define the differences in Opinion of Sample to these variable the scientific qualification. To achieve the objectives of this research, questionnaire has included the role of Strategic Planning in Crisis Educational Management consisted of (52) items, has been applied during the academic year of (2015 - 2016) on sample (278) members, The present research used the descriptive analytical approach. Validity of the questionnaire was established though a jury of (7) of the teaching staff of educational at Damascus and Tishreen. The final results showed that the role of Strategic Planning in Crisis Educational Management were middle degree. In fact there are no found differences between the sample answers, about the strategic Planning importance, and their role in Crisis Educational Management according to variable the scientific qualification. The Research presented suggestions concerning of to adopt strategic planning as a tool for changing and developing administrative work and specialized workshops in strategic Planning.
A possible explanation for the impressive performance of masked language model (MLM) pre-training is that such models have learned to represent the syntactic structures prevalent in classical NLP pipelines. In this paper, we propose a different expla nation: MLMs succeed on downstream tasks almost entirely due to their ability to model higher-order word co-occurrence statistics. To demonstrate this, we pre-train MLMs on sentences with randomly shuffled word order, and show that these models still achieve high accuracy after fine-tuning on many downstream tasks---including tasks specifically designed to be challenging for models that ignore word order. Our models perform surprisingly well according to some parametric syntactic probes, indicating possible deficiencies in how we test representations for syntactic information. Overall, our results show that purely distributional information largely explains the success of pre-training, and underscore the importance of curating challenging evaluation datasets that require deeper linguistic knowledge.
