This paper presents tools and data sources collected and released by the EMBEDDIA project, supported by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program. The collected resources were offered to participants of a hackathon organized a s part of the EACL Hackashop on News Media Content Analysis and Automated Report Generation in February 2021. The hackathon had six participating teams who addressed different challenges, either from the list of proposed challenges or their own news-industry-related tasks. This paper goes beyond the scope of the hackathon, as it brings together in a coherent and compact form most of the resources developed, collected and released by the EMBEDDIA project. Moreover, it constitutes a handy source for news media industry and researchers in the fields of Natural Language Processing and Social Science.
Through our study, the HadoopOperationTesting software library has been developed to provide Big Data applications labs with a mechanism to test their applications in a simulated environment for the Hadoop environment with a similar mechanism to test traditional applications using the JUnit library.
Architectural design process is relatively complex considered due to the different content with users difference, therefore, each design has its own advantages that are difficult to standardize the process, as some have seen as architectural design that is a process of producing a one-time, making it difficult architectural design quality measurement result of not atypical The criteria used. Architectural design will be addressed as a result of a series of decisions on the key aspects that make up the elements of quality in design and that it must work to improve the quality of any design process. The research presents a theoretical study on the global architectural design used for quality assessment tools (eg DQI, DEEP, AEDET, HQI, LEED, BREEAM, BQA) to see the certified quality standards in each tool as a step towards the formation of a general framework for the concept of the architectural design of residential buildings quality of during a field study of the standards derived to determine the architectural design standards for residential buildings in Latakia The research found a set of standards governing the quality of the architectural design of residential buildings in Lattakia.
This paper deals with participatory decision making and planning processes. It critically looks at methods and tools that are practiced currently in Germany and in particular in the city of Berlin, where the author has close relationship to and has studied in depth the Berlin experience made during the past decades. The process of public involvement that started in the 1970ies in Berlin and in the Federal Republic of Germany (BRD) is going to be monitored continiously. Focus is laid on the discourse on whom and how when to involve. Meanwhile the city of Berlin has developed a handbook on public participation that is briefly presented and assessed in this paper. Selected best practice cases where certain tools have been successfully applied in Berlin will be presented and analysed. This paper is meant to enlarge the knowledge about state of the art dicourse on participatory urban planning, design and implementation and gives a brief outlook on replicability of instruments for participatory urban planning and design in the Syrian context.
The research aims mainly to study the method of Benchmarking and the possibility of its usage in the Syrian banks, and to figure out any obstacles for such application therefore finding the right solutions, and for this goal the researcher did the following, Conduction of an extensive theoretical study.
This study will put spot light on web applications testing methods and tools from the security aspects, and we will explain the details about using these tools, after we have explained the most famous weak points and vulnerabilities that web appli cations suffer from. At the end we will evaluate these tools. By this study we try to help developers to choose the most suitable method and tool for their needs.
This research aims to study the problem of liquidity excess، so it considers from the important problem that is facing the Islamic banks especially in this obstacles: 1- Modernity time of Islamic banks. 2- littleness of financial tools that used to manage the liquidity in Islamic banks. 3- Nonexistence Law are fitting with targets and field of activity of Islamic banks. And It is done that through knowing the liquidity in these banks and the tools used to manage the liquidity، inside to the best Islamic financial tools that Islamic banks are able to use in manage the liquidity.
The public participation is one of the most important tools for sustainable urban development to prepare more appropriate master plans, but at the same time it forms a challenge to those concerned in terms of finding an appropriate mechanism and mode l to be activated according to the characteristics and requirements of the cities and the needs of their residents. The research began from establish the theoretical base of the community participation process to know the concept of it forms impediments in the preparation of urban development plans and to depend after that on study the experiences of different countries globally and locally about active the participation as a reference tool for the preparation of master plans for it's cities and evaluated them to utilize in line with the reality of Lattakia, then do the analytical study of the reality of participation in the city, through the use of the questionnaire to determine it's importance to population and and the extent of their participation in the preparation of master plans of the city and acceptability of it to preparation the plans for their city and determine their favorite mechanism, to research concludes to Suggestion the appropriate Participatory model to the local conditions of lattakia city to be public participation more effective with a mechanism of action in direct contact with the population and reflects their views and aspirations.
The ability of data mining to provide predictive information derived from huge databases became an effective tool in the hands of companies and individuals، allowing them to focus on areas that are important to them from the massive data generated by the march of their daily lives. Along with the increasing importance of this science there was a rapidly increasing in the tools that produced to implement the theory concepts as fast as possible. So it will be hard to take a decision on which of these tools is the best to perform the desired task. This study provides a comparison between the two most commonly used data mining tools according to opinion polls، namely: Rapidminer and R programming language in order to help researchers and developers to choose the best suited tool for them between the two. Adopted the comparison on seven criteria: platform، algorithms، input/output formats، visualization، user’s evaluation، infrastructure and potential development، and performance by applying a set of classification algorithms on a number of data sets and using two techniques to split data set: cross validation and hold-out to make sure of the results. The Results show that R supports the largest number of algorithms، input/output formats، and visualization. While Rapidminer superiority in terms of ease of use and support for a greater number of platforms. In terms of performance the accuracy of classification models that were built using the R packages were higher. That was not true in some cases imposed by the nature of the data because we did not added any pre-processing stage. Finally the preference option in any tool is depending on the extent of the user experience and purpose that the tool is used for
Sun movement considered one of the effective factor in human life, it should be studied in order to use or protect from it. sun path and its angles can be specified in hims city any time all year long, That can be done with Computer-assisted Architec tural Design and Building Performance Simulator. Reaching for schedules, printed diagrams and digital files that can help architects in solar design process.
