Geodetic monitoring networks should check the requirements of precision, stability, durability, strength, sensitivity and cost. Depending on this basis design the geodetic monitoring networks. Terrestrial surveying instruments adjust kinematic proces
ses by high frequency measurements; therefore can select system state and its precision in real time depending on appropriate deformation model.
In this research, liner kalman filter will be evaluated to improve the performance of geodetic monitoring networks, especially the currently used in monitoring of strategic infrastructure in the country, and achieve the highest level of security in the monitoring and development level of reliability and durability where, and apply it to the observed kinematic situation in 16 tishreen dam in lattakia city. Then check the efficiency of the evaluation by applied standards reliability, and the appropriateness of the application of kalman filter in deformation analysis. Finally, this research offers a set of conclusions and recommendations.

With the increasing use of technologies and automation in different sides of modern life, the outage of
electricity became a big issue that widely affects the daily life of most sectors like industrial, economical or
even entertaining sector. So it
became so necessary to achieve a high-reliability electrical system to insure
the continuation of electricity supply to the end consumer.
Consequently, in this research, we are studying a new method of service restoration using genetic
algorithms to increase the reliability of distribution systems and improving its performance. The research
includes a brief aver view of electrical systems reliability and the basics of Genetic Algorithms and the use
of these techniques in dispatching centers. In addition we have designed a program in "MATLAB"
environment to apply the service restoration technique using genetic algorithms, and the program has
been tested on a case study with the relative results shown .
Research offers expanded version of the relationship to improve measurement
accuracy (provided by Otrenbski), which include correlated or free geodetic networks, with
correlated or incorrelated observations, which are processed according to the Lea
st Square
theory. In addition to enhancing the Global accuracy, Research gives additional formula
takes into consideration the enhancement of each observation (local precision). the validity
of the proposed formula was proved depending on the Idempotent matrix.
In addition to the general concept of the reliability of geodetic network (described in
literature), Research gives the formula of the relationship between improvement of
measurement accuracy and one of internal reliability features (provided by Pelzer), and
used in the evaluation of geodetic measurements. Research find and gives the basic
mathematical indicators of the interaction of processing model with the occurrence of
errors in geodetic measurements.
The purpose of this study is to define the reliability index for electrical power
systems specifically and without using alot of data and treating processes. Results of this
study is useful in electrical networks planning and design because of its
technical and
economical importance in the optimal choosing of networks elements and connections. In
this research we use petri nets concept to represent electrical nets under studying then
simulate the equivalent chart on GRIF program to find reliability degree for the system and
its elements. This research includes comparing the suggested methodology to a reference
net and then apply this method on electrical local network to discuss the results. It has
been proved that petri nets are effective in reliability calculations with the best of
simulation methods.
This research includes evaluating the work of maintenance of themachines through
their own key performance indicators (KPI), and approved byindustrial and service
companies, We mention reliability, readiness ,average time between failures, average
Repair time ,average time of periodic maintenance of their production and
serviceequipment.
After the data processing of emergency failures and periodic maintenanceof
machines , we extracted values for maintenance performanceindicators, we measured
their performance and correlation to evaluateits compatibility with global indicators.
The research aim to assess the current situation through the use ofquantitative
methods pattern which is used to access the values of theprevious mentioned performance
indicators and their interdependence tobe used in support of maintenance decisionsin the
container terminal later.
We noticed a strong inverse association between periodic maintenance TPMtime and
breakdown TBD, and reached a value rERS = -0.99, and thereforewe must focus on
increasing periodic maintenance to reduce breakdowntime, and replace parts that cause
recurringproblems which caused about intensive breakdowns, thus reducing
periodicmaintenance time.
Also we were able to classify the quality of maintenance and machinesthrough the
readiness and reliability indicators and the mean timebetween failures.
The research aims to show the importance of the application of
International Standard ISO 17025: 2005 to adjust the general
requirements of the test laboratories efficiency. The importance of
this international standard by giving great importance
to the test
methods and calibration, which stressed the need for the
documented methods to carry out tests and analyzes and operation
of devices, and that it leads to work systematically and preserve the
expertise & documenting them and discover the analytical
problems and resolve them.
The target of this study is improving the electrical power systems performance estimation
because of its importance in complex modern networks investment that have a lot of
advanced equipments.
Having a complete representation of the electrical sy
stem makes diagnosis thing much
accurate and reliable which is used in electrical networks operation and maintenance. We
focus in this research on implying different conditions and factors which affect operation
and we use fuzzy petri nets for that purpose because of its characteristics in handling with
incomplete and uncertainty data . we make our simulation on a real diagram of a refinery
to compute its truth degree and discuss the results , we match that adding changing factors
at operation contribute in improving networks estimation accuracy and support decisionmaking
process .
Most of the villages and rural towns, in general, and in Latakia, in particular, suffer from
poor transport organizing and Serving of people so that travelling has become a great
suffering for most people. After studying the transport situation bet
ween Jableh and
Latakia, we found that this city suffers from transport problems like other cities. This is
because of transport poor management and regulation including timing, the number of
vehicles available and inability to meet demand, which causes a deterioration in service
quality.
The research provided a comprehensive method to evaluate the performance of public
transport on the road by evaluating travel time, the journey speed, and the buses volume
and frequency. Considering these indicators as a criterion for evaluating the performance
of public transport to determine the most effective factors regarding the quality of
performance of public transport and improve this performance in future. A field and
practical study of the research has been conducted, which includes selecting of study sites,
collecting engineering and traffic data, designing of questionnaires and distributing them
on random passengers and drivers working on Jableh - Lattakia transportation road to find
out their opinions. Then the data has been inserted into SPSS Statistics Base program for
analyzing the results.
The research has concluded that the performance of public transport between Jableh and
Latakia is generally weak, and the largest proportion of passengers depend on their
mobility on minibuses, which does not satisfy the required transportation level. Therefore,
a range of solutions has been developed depending on local conditions which will ease the
burden of mobility and raise the transportation performance level.
