This paper has been carried out to Study the correlation between Vitreous Humor Potassium Levels and the Time of bleeding-caused Death, and to find a formula proposed to calculate the post mortem interval (PMI) by finding the regression equation.
The present study was prepared to assess the level of potassium in the vitreous humor fluid, to calculate the post mortem interval (PMI) by finding the regression equation and to study the effects of environmental factors like temperature and humidity and age and sex on it.
This research was carried out to test the effect of three basic preservation methods cooling, canning and freezing on the nutritional value of mushroom Agaricus bisporus. Mushroom were picked from a private sector then stored for 20 weeks. Chemica l analyses of mushroom were conducted at three phases: at time zero which means immediately after preservation, after ten weeks and after 20 weeks. Sodium benzoate 5% and potassium serrate and 5% were tested as preservatives.
A new, simple and sensitive kinetic spectrophotometric method has been proposed for the determination of tropicamed (TPC) in pure and pharmaceutical formulations. The method is based on oxidation TPC by potassium permanganate in strong alkaline m edium (pH=12) to form green colored product with absorbance maximum at 610nm.
This study was carried out at the Agricultural Scientific Research center In Sweida - GCSAR to study the effect of potassium sulfate and organic manure on some of soil characteristic in addition to tree growth vigor and fruit traits of Starking del icious apple cultivar. The results revealed significant effect in reducing the (pH) of the soil in the three treatments; potassium sulfate fertilization, organic manure fertilization and application of potassium sulfate and organic manure together which were (6.608), (6.708) and (6.558), respectively, in the comparison with the control (6.768). In addition, significant differences were shown in the (EC) between the former treatments (0.1532 ds / m), (0.1692 ds / m) and (0.0937 ds / m) compared to the control (0.2217 ds / m). Concerning growth vigor and fuit traits, the results showed a significant increase in the average of shoot length in the previous treatments (66.43, 77.33 and 71.37 cm, respectively), compared to the control (59.37 cm), while showed a significant increase in leaf area in organic manure treatment and potassium sulfate with organic manure together (35.54 and 37.21 cm 2, respectively), compared to the control (30.54 cm 2). The results of analysis of variance in fruit firmness showed higher significant variation of potassium treatment (8.477 kg / cm 2) than the other treatments which, also revealed significant increase of total soluble solids (16.82%,15.2% and15.37%,respectively) compared to the control (14.23%), and a significant increase in total sugars and in percentage of treatable acidity. Consequently, the result showed that the addition of soil fertilizers treatment contributed to improve some of soil characters, tree growth vigor and some of the quantitative and qualitative traits of apple fruits.
Molluscum contagiosum virus is a member of the Poxviridae family. Molluscum contagiosum virus causes a benign viral infection that is largely (if not exclusively) a human disease. Molluscum contagiosum virus causes characteristic skin lesions con sisting of single or, more often, multiple, rounded, dome-shaped, pink, waxy papules that are 2-5 mm (rarely up to 1.5 cm seen in the case of a giant molluscus) in diameter. The papules are umbilicated and contain a caseous plug.
This research has included quarterly and periodically physical and chemical analysis of treatment wastewater in the rural areas of Latakia city during year 2011 by testing three treatment plants similar in the mechanism of action and distributed in three villages (Happit, Al-Harah, Marg Moairban). This study has included the measurement of temperature T, pH, and determination of sodium, potassium, calcium concentrations, and sodium adsorbed rate (SAR). This study was based on the potentiometrictechnic using Ion Selective Electrodes (ISEs). SAR measurements have shown that there are clear differences between autumn and other seasons, and between treatment plants. The highest values was in the Happit treatment plant in all seasons and the highest value was (88.25 mg/L) in the autumn which is much larger than the allowable limit. The highest concentrations of sodium ion were in the autumn in all treatment plants (1002.67-7130.33) mg/L, which is off limits. As for the potassium ion concentration was highest (72.46 mg/L) in Happit treatment plant in the autumn. While calcium ion concentrations in Al-Harah treatment plant was exceeded (670.33-800.00) mg/L the allowable limit in all seasons except the summer. The statistical study has demonstrated and showed strongand sometimes weak correlation coefficient R2 so that gives clear indications about the sources of pollution.
This investigation was done to study the effect of spray for two times with CaCl2 0.5% and 1%, high potassium fertilizer and dipping with 2% CaCl2, in addition to packaging with polyethylene films on the storability of pear fruits "Coscia C.V". Th e results showed the significant superiority of high potassium fertilizer treatment on the other treatments concerning total and single sugars after harvesting time, while there weren't significant differences between the other treatments concerning the remaining indicators. After four months of storage, the packaging treatments were able to the significantly reduction of weight loss, in addition to preserving the firmness and total soluble solids in the comparison with unpackaged ones, the average of weight loss in unpackaged treatments was 15% and 0.65% in packaging treatments, which led to stop the storage of unpackaged treatments and continue packaging treatments until 7 months. After 7 months, the results showed that the dipping with 2% CaCl2 revealed the high weight loss, while was the least with high potassium fertilizer treatment, on the other hand there were no significant differences between treatments for firmness, total soluble solids and tetra table acidity, while total and single sugars showed significant differences between treatments. Moreover, the sensory tests assured the importance of packaging with CaCl2 treatments to improve storability and quality of pear fruits, which CaCl2 1% packaging treatment got the highest values for most of sensory tests.
An application comparative study between primitive equation and derived equations is conducted, using the experimental results of coffee sample. By applying primitive and derived equations, the number of nuclei of the irradiation isotopes is found t o be more accurate when using the latter, but the calculation is found to be more difficult. The difficulty can be avoided, using computer software.
