The present study was prepared to assess the level of potassium in the vitreous humor fluid, to calculate the post mortem interval (PMI) by finding the regression equation and to study the effects of environmental factors like temperature and humidity and age and sex on it.
Cancer of the lip is relatively common malignancy of the head and neck region. Squamous cell carcinoma most frequently occurs in the lower lip (LLSCC) or Lower Lip Squamous Cell Carcinoma. This study aimed to evaluate the correlation between the in volved lymph nodes level and the tumor appearance, greatest dimension (T) and its degree of differentiation.
This research uses canonical correlation analysis in the examination of the structure of mutual relationship between the components of population growth rate (birth, death and migration) and the levels of education and health in Syria. Results prove the existence of a strong relationship that is statistically significant between the components of rate of population growth and the educational and health levels. Death is strongly influenced by both levels while migration is strongly affected by the health level.
This study was done to determine whether use of nebulized salbutamol therapy for treatment of an acute attack of asthma in children is associated with hypokalaemia and if so what is its frequency, severity and what is accompanying clinical symptoms 103 child, aged 3 years to 14 years with asthma attack, treated with three doses of nebulized salbutamol 0.15mg/kg, every 20 min participated in the study. Blood for serum potassium was obtained at the beginning and after three doses of nebulized salbutamol therapy. The mean serum potassium level decreased from 3.94 mEq/L to 3.28 mEq/L (P < 0.05). A decrease in serum potassium concentration was noted in 93 child (90.3%).). Mild hypokalemia formed the highest proportion in 43child (41.7%) followed by moderate hypokalemia in 28 child( 27.2%). Severe hypokalemia did not happen. This decrease was accompanied with clinical symptoms (palpitations 23,muscle weakness 21,nausea 15, headache 12,myalgia 11,vomiting 9).These symptoms were moreclosely to moderate hypokalemia.
The study aimed to clarify the economic concept to the problem of environmental pollution and the economic effects of him. How is the confrontation of this economic problem through the following steps: 1- Quantification of environmental pollution (air quality monitoring in the surrounding medium). 2- Quantification of the results of environmental pollution (the negative impact on health and property due to air pollution , and loss of agricultural and animal wealth . 3- Estimate of the results of environmental pollution ( the cost of treatment and alternative employment opportunities , loss of GDP as a result of the inability to work due to illness or disability or early death , property damage costs in agricultural and animal wealth , the cost of damage in the aesthetic value . The study concluded that a range of results, including :  Monitoring and Pollution reality in Banias , and then compare the average cost incurred by the population as a result of ( health damage , property damage, damage in agricultural and animal wealth ).  Determination of environmental costs through the expense of a decline in the quality of people's lives and the deterioration of the quality of the environment , such as exposure to diseases caused by environmental pollution and the cost of treating these diseases physically and years of work and life that are lost due to disease , in addition to the loss of the value of environmental services and resources, especially non-renewable ones, as well as the loss opportunities and environmental features such as the aesthetic standards of the tourist areas . The study recommended that the industrial strategies in Syria adopt Sustainable Industrial Development Policy, which include an integrated and comprehensive environmental dimension in the administration of any industrial development project . This is in line with the concept of sustainable development, which calls for enterprises of different types to preserve the assets and resources of the community of human, material and environmental which is considered the property of the current and future generations.
