The research aimed to identify the challenges that hinder the application of educational quality standards - adopted by Arab University Union Council - at HE according to teaching staff members at TU. The sample included (431) teaching staff members from different faculties and higher institutes at TU. To fulfill this research goal, a questionnaire was set to contain (39) paragraphs distributed on (5) axis : teaching staff members, academic programs, teaching methods and learning resources, university books, academic research, assessment and university ethics. The results showed that the most important challenges at the level of each axis were as follows: Faculty Members Axis: the lack of stimulus for faculty excellence in teaching academic research. Academic Programs Axis: the absence of periodic studies to make sure of the proportionality among the various programs in place at the university with the vision, mission, and objectives of the university, as well as colleges or affiliated higher institutes. Teaching Methods and Learning Resources Axis: the lack of research on the assessment of teaching methods and teaching aids used for the process. University Book Axis: the absence of a good design for the university book in terms of shape, printing, paper, graphics, and others. Academic Research Axis: the lack of research, publication and development support.
Exam ) objective tests) have an important role in the evaluation of student's intended learning outcomes, and estimates the level of their meeting of the sought goals. Therefore, the skill of formulating exam tests is one of the main criteria that should be within criteria of the evaluation quality. An objective test is one of the sorts that offers a student with a number of answers to a question or solutions to a problem, and then the student should identify (recognize) the right answer or solution to these questions. They are called "Objective Tests" because they are objectively corrected, in other meaning, its correction doesn't differ from one evaluator to another. Because the importance of formulating this type of questions and scarcity of researches concerned this idea. This research aimed to evaluate the achievement of the formulated objective tests for formulated objective test conditions. The taken research sample was the final written exam (second term) which represented the courses of the four years that are taught by faculty staff members at Nursing Faculty for the academic year 2014 -2015. The sample was consisted of 719 multiple-choice question, 248 True/False item, and 21 Match item. The most significant findings were: the faculty members followed the conditions of formulating stem in multiple-choice questions with the need to pay attention to language clarity and accuracy. In addition, they followed the conditions in formulating alternatives in multiple-choice tests, and follow all test-type formulation conditions for True/False items, with relying heavily on multiple-choice questions and True/False items, while relying on the test of match items (proportionality) type was very few.
The aim of the research was to evaluate the role of the head nurses in documenting, evaluating and reviewing the performance of nursing staff at Tishreen University Hospital from the point of view of nursing staff. Random sample was used , it consi sted of 50% of the nursing staff at Tishreen University Hospital during the application of the research there number (300 ) nurses. A developed tool for collecting information was used based on recent research literature, and data were collected and analyzed using SPSS version (20). The most important results were that the evaluation of the role of the head nurses was at moderate level in documenting and evaluating the performance of the nursing staff, while the evaluation of the research sample for the role of the head nurses in reviewing their performance was at a good level.
