The research was conducted with the aim of investigating in the most important pathogens (coliform_ E.coli_ Salmonella), which moves from irrigation water to many types of vegetables which irrigated from it. And compared the extent of contaminatio n by irrigation source (treatment sewage, wells), and according to the type of vegetable (fruit plants, tuberous vegetables), and the irrigation method(surface irrigation, modern irrigation).
The corrosion of biogas pipes and equipments damage as generators, boilers and coprocessors is one of the most real important problems in Damascus wastewater treatment plant (at Adra region). These problem caused high financial losses and costs , t hat it required studying and solving. Biogas is the result of an aerobic digestion process of sludge, it contains about 50-70% of methane as a main resource of power, where the biogas considers free when it release spontaneity. Different analysis have been occurred on the biogas to show its components, tests on the pipes material and analysis of sediment material inside the pipes that caused by biogas.
The importance of this study is focused on evaluating the quality of pollutants that are dumped into the sewers associated with the analysis laboratories and the various clinics located in the scientific centers of the University of Aleppo.
The study was conducted in 2011 on 6-years-old citrus trees "Washington navel 141". It contained four treatments with three replicates for each treatment. The results showed that: The wastewater treatments showed superiority on the control in the number of vegetative growth and its length. The number of inflorescence buds, was increased in the second treatment (irrigation with 50% treated wastewater +50% normal water) (5. 37) which dominated the other treatments. The weight of fruit was affected by treated wastewater irrigation. Second treatment (irrigation with 50%treated wastewater+50 % normal water) was better than the control treatment. It was increased by (308. 3 g) compared to (259. 5 g) for the control treatment. Fruit yield production per tree, was increased by second treatment (irrigation with 50% treated wastewater+50 % normal water) (28. 9kg) compared to (15. 3kg) for the control. Treated wastewater irrigation had positive effects in the quality of fruit (Total sugar %), (T. S. S %) and the coefficient of maturity were increased in second and third treatment compared to other treatments, while (T. A %) was decreased in all wastewater treatments.
This paper, we evaluated some varieties of local cheeses. samples were collected randomly from various production sites in Homs. Chemical and microbiological analyses were applied to determine their suitability to the Syrian standards. This study sh ows that 54% of Baladi cheese samples, 25% of Akkawi(Cows), 18% of Akkawi(Sheep), 12% of Kashkawan ,2 %of Chelal samples, that 2% of Halloumi cheese samples, and 8% of Msannara cheese samples contained Escherichia coli bacterium. This results also indicate that 15% of Baladi cheese samples, 12% of Akkawi(Cows), 8% of Kashkawan cheese,4 %of Chelal cheese, and 8% of Msannara samples contained Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. As well as the percentage of Baladi cheese samples containing Salmonella bacteria was 8%, and Akkawi(Cows) cheese samples was 4%, and 2% in Msannara cheese samples. This study indicated that local cheeses have no uniform or standardized chemical characteristics. This study shows that 67% of Baladi cheese samples, 33% of Akkawi(Cows), 83 %of Chelal , and 100% of Kashkawan samples were contrary to the Syrian Normal Standard for dry matter. And all samples of cheese identical to the Syrian Normal Standard for sodium chloride 100%.
