This paper discusses a geothermobarometry modeling computer software called Thermocalc through an applied example from the southern Syria volcanism, specifically from Tal Al-Ashaer volcano, is given. A graphical P-T diagram for a given chemical bulk composition of some spinel-bearing peridotite rocks (from Tal Al-Ashaer) is created. The results and their interpretation, in addition to limitations and constraints are discussed. Based on the mineralogical analysis linked to the studied mineral assemblage modes, the bulk-rock chemical composition is calculated and a geothermobarometry model using Thermocalc is made. The created model shows that the general conditions at which the rock-forming minerals (coexisting in equilibrium) define a field of stability with a range of temperature goes from 700 to 1100 C° corresponding a range of pressure between 8 and 15 Kbar. Using one of Thermocalc tools (composition isopleths) the most precise P-T conditions at which the rock was formed are estimated; T = 892 C° and P = 10.5 Kbar. The corresponding depth at which the studied samples were formed is about 36 Km. Accordingly, the crust-upper mantle boundary in the studied region is placed at that depth.

Broader disclosive transparency---truth and clarity in communication regarding the function of AI systems---is widely considered desirable. Unfortunately, it is a nebulous concept, difficult to both define and quantify. This is problematic, as previo us work has demonstrated possible trade-offs and negative consequences to disclosive transparency, such as a confusion effect, where too much information'' clouds a reader's understanding of what a system description means. Disclosive transparency's subjective nature has rendered deep study into these problems and their remedies difficult. To improve this state of affairs, We introduce neural language model-based probabilistic metrics to directly model disclosive transparency, and demonstrate that they correlate with user and expert opinions of system transparency, making them a valid objective proxy. Finally, we demonstrate the use of these metrics in a pilot study quantifying the relationships between transparency, confusion, and user perceptions in a corpus of real NLP system descriptions.
The aim of this study is to use the measured values of the magnetic susceptibility in the classification of the basaltic rocks and their different differentiation degrees as an additional discrimination factor to the geochemical analyses, which we re applied on the basalts of southern and southeastern Syria. So the magnetic susceptibility of ٢٠٤ specimens sampled from all the ٧ basaltic groups in Qasr Shbeeka area in addition to ٦٢ specimens sampled from three groups from outside the studied area were measured. This led to the determination of all the magnetic susceptibility ranges, their mean values and their standard deviation of the basaltic rocks in the area.
This research aims to shed light on the motives and the challenges of the application of Basel II in banks operating in Syria. To achieve this goal, the researcher used the survey methodology, where the data was collected using a questionnaire and then analyzed by applying a set of statistical methods using the SPSS program. The results revealed that the banks operating in Syria are applying the Basel II Accord in response to regulatory and international requirement. With respect to the challenges of the application of the Accord, these banks face the challenges associated with the application of the first pillar (minimum capital requirements), as these banks do not have comprehensive historical data that can be relied on to measure credit, operational and market risks. In addition to the fact that they do not hold any international credit rating. There are also challenges associated with applying the second pillar (supervisory review), particularly related to the low number of workingstaff in the field of banking supervision, in addition to the challenges of the political circumstances and the prevailing economic conditions. Finally, the results showed an inverse relationship between the reality of the Basel II application in conventional banks operating in Syria and between each of the challenges associated with implementing the three pillars of the Accord and those associated with political and economic conditions. There is also an inverse relationship between the reality of the implementation and the challenges associated with the material and human resources merely in public banks.
In this article we studied two types of teeth, spherical and conical one. We compared the results with a previous study for the flat tooth. the study of stresses field under these three teeth show that in the soft rocks we prefer to use conical to oth because it is easy to be Implanted in the rock, and this was confirmed by the values of stresses under the tooth. Either in hard rock and due to our need for big values of pressure to shatter the rock we prefer to use spherical tooth because of its property of forming tow cons of stresses under tooth and therefore can be good in drilling hard rock..
This Study Seeks To Test The Combined Effect Of Fiscal Policy Tools (Public Spending And Taxes) On Private Investment In Syria. Time Series Data For These Variables Were Collected For The Period (1990-2010), And It Was Subjected To A Statistical Fin ancial And Economic Study That Began By Analyzing The Growth Rates, And Components Of These Variables. This Was Followed By A Study Of The Stability Of Time Series. Finally, The Long-Term Co-Integration Equation For Private Investment In Syria Was Estimated Using The Autoregressive Distributed Lag Model (ARDL). The Results Of The Study Showed The Existence Of A Long-Term Relationship Between Private Investment As A Dependent Variable. Finally, Recommendations Were Made To Increase The Effectiveness Of Public Spending And Taxes In Positively Affecting Private Investment.
