Since determination of an appropriate age to launch teaching a foreign language into the national education system is one of the sensitive hard issues that faces most ministries of education across the globe, this study contributes to shed lights on the decision-makers' choice to choose the class most appropriate to embark on teaching English language in the governmental Saudi schools. The current study aims to look over the regional experiences and to examine the views of the four study-population that directly related to teaching English language in the primary schools, namely: pupils who were taught English in the public primary schools, their parents, teachers and English language supervisors from both sexes in the Saudi primary schools.
This research deals with teaching Arabic as a second language. It tackles the different characteristics and nationalities of learners in addition to their objectives in relation to learning Arabic. This is taken into consideration when preparing t he required curricula from two perspectives; the linguistic and the functional one. This research sheds light on the role of technology that is utilized to facilitate the task of learning Arabic by speakers of other languages in relation to the pronunciation of letters, sounds, writing, grammatical conjugation, comprehension and reading. The research also sheds light on the most important challenges facing the Arabic Language since the twenty first century such as the cultural challenge and the revival of local and spoken dialects.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of teaching method via computer on students’ level of anxiety with respect to the gender, computer experiences, and academic achievement. The sample consisted of 40 students (21 females and 19 m ales) from the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Jordan. The participants who enrolled in a required undergraduate course of methods of teaching physical education class during the second semester of 2003/2004 were selected purposely. The participants were taught via Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) method for ten weeks.
In class, the teachers provide constantly instructions, and the learners must continually perform. But, some of these instructions are not followed ! It is the same of exercises or examination subjects. The instruction poses several challenges both in terms of its formulation or that of his understanding. Formulate an instruction require a great effort, great care and special skills, because of the quality of the latter depends in large part the quality of work performed.
Sifting French Tweets to Investigate the Impact of Covid-19 in Triggering Intense Anxiety. Social media can be leveraged to understand public sentiment and feelings in real-time, and target public health messages based on user interests and emotions. In this paper, we investigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in triggering intense anxiety, relying on messages exchanged on Twitter. More specifically, we provide : i) a quantitative and qualitative analysis of a corpus of tweets in French related to coronavirus, and ii) a pipeline approach (a filtering mechanism followed by Neural Network methods) to satisfactory classify messages expressing intense anxiety on social media, considering the role played by emotions.
