Syrian narrative writers have used a number of symbols in their narrative works, one of which is fire, which has been used very flexibly. Fire stood for punishment, catharsis, fear, and desire both in relation to the theme of the relevant story and its title. The paper leaves it open for new significations for this symbol that might appear in new meanings and forms by other narrative writers not dealt with here.

This paper seeks to present a conception of the sea and its effective role in the contemporary Syrian short story through a study of the works of a number of short story tellers who travelled at sea in search for mysteries of life to gain an unders tanding of the universe and explore the suffering of coastal residents. This conception is manifested in the short story writings by Abul Kader Rabe'a, Muhsen Yousef, Muhammad Smeer Jua'ra and others. The sea in the short story represents human concerns and the interdependent relationship between man and the sea. Each writer in his own way moves as a result of suffering from the private concerns to the national concerns. This is the center of Muhsen Yousef's stories through a heroic resistance and bitter struggles with the powers of evil aliened with internal powers that have attempted to control the nation's coasts. The Arab resistant triumphs over the powers of evil in a heroic epic and forces the powers to withdraw in defeat.
Background& Objective: The aim of this study was to know the Allele frequencies for the 15 STR loci in the sample in Aleppo in Syria. Materials & Methods: Allele frequencies for the 15 STR loci included in the PowerPlex16 PCR Amplification Kit panel from (Promega, Madison, USA) according to manufacturer’s instructions (D3S1358, TH01, D21S11, D18S51, PentaE, D5S818, D13S317, D7S820, D16S539, CSF1PO, PenyaD, vWA, D8S1179, T, POX , FGA) and several statistical parameters were estimated from a sample of 127 unrelated individuals representing all ethnic groups in Aleppo in Syria . DNA was extracted from blood samples using QIAmp1 DNA Mini Kit (QIAGEN, Hagen, Germany) according to manufacturer’s instructions and the PCR products were typed using an ABI PRISM 310 Genetic Analyzer (Applied Biosystems, Foster City, CA, USA)). The results were analyzed using GeneMapper ID v3.0 software (Applied Biosystems). Several forensic and population parameters such as heterozygosity, polymorphic information content (PIC), power of discrimination (PD), power of exclusion (PE) and the paternity index (PI)) were calculated using Microsoft Excel-2007. A p-value of the 15 loci were estimated by using the statistical Microsoft Windows 2007 to verify whether the genotype distribution conformed to Hardy- Weinberg equilibrium predictions. Results : We compared our data with other data sets from published studies of individuals from Turkey, Morocco and Iraq, our data indicate that standardized multilocus STR panels may be a useful forensic tool which can be applied for identification purposes also in the Syria population. Conclusion: Our Data may be a useful forensic tool which can be applied for identification purposes also in the Syria population.
In recent years, against the backdrop of the processes of globalization and the rapid development of information and communication technologies, the capacity of citizens to influence the policies of their states has significantly increased. In this regard, governments of countries seeking to maintain and expand their influence in the world, try to take these new trends into account when planning and implementing their foreign policy. It can be noted that the importance of these political processes is indicate the need in the interests of increasing the effectiveness of state foreign policy; it is more effective to use the resource of the public diplomacy. The public diplomacy is an integral part foreign policy of the state. What is the impact of public diplomacy technologies on political processes?
This research tries to examine the concept of self within the framework of modern philosophy and contemporary philosophy, in an attempt to highlight the role of this concept in the formation of most of the philosophical doctrines from the Greek era to the contemporary philosophy, through modern philosophy. In this research, we will attempt to study the formation of this concept in the framework of modern and contemporary philosophy, to show the philosophers' interest in this concept and the extent to which the concept is linked to the clarify their own philosophy. Therefore, the research attempts to provide a follow-up reading of the concept of self in a comparative historical context, in which we demonstrate that this concept is still alive in contemporary philosophy, albeit with different names, such as reason, mind or feeling. We will conclude from this the importance of the concept of self in the philosophical context, which still occupies an important space in the thinking of modern and contemporary philosophers. Here we will try to ask several questions, including what is the dualism of the soul and body. How can the soul be a logical synthesis, an emanated mind, or a subjective feeling? In this research, we will try to answer these questions and other questions that will appear in the context of the research.
We present a series of programming assignments, adaptable to a range of experience levels from advanced undergraduate to PhD, to teach students design and implementation of modern NLP systems. These assignments build from the ground up and emphasize full-stack understanding of machine learning models: initially, students implement inference and gradient computation by hand, then use PyTorch to build nearly state-of-the-art neural networks using current best practices. Topics are chosen to cover a wide range of modeling and inference techniques that one might encounter, ranging from linear models suitable for industry applications to state-of-the-art deep learning models used in NLP research. The assignments are customizable, with constrained options to guide less experienced students or open-ended options giving advanced students freedom to explore. All of them can be deployed in a fully autogradable fashion, and have collectively been tested on over 300 students across several semesters.
