This study aimed to evaluate the F1 non ripening tomato hybrids for yield components and some other biological and morphological traits in the green house. This investigation included the comparesion of six tomato hybrids during tow years (1999, 2000). Under the green-house conditions. It has been found significant differences among the investigated hybrids regarding to yield, plant hight, leaves number, flowers number, and the periods from germination to flowering, germination to ripening, and flowering to ripening, but, there was no any significant variation in fruits number and fruit setting rate.

The research was conducted at Al-Jmmaseh station – the Agricultural Research Center in Tartous- to estimate heterosis, combining ability of yield and some fruit traits. Fifteen hybrids were produced by half diallel crossing method in 2013. These were evaluated in 2014. Most hybrids were characterized by highly significant heterosis values for all the studied traits compared with mid parents and better parents. Heterosis reached (87.76, 50.13)% for yield per plant, (71.44, 43.09)% for average of fruit weight, (19.67, 12.31)% for fruit length, (38.21, 21.43)% for fruit diameter, and (32.5, 20.46)% for number of locules per fruit in comparison with mid parents and better parents respectively. The best hybrids were: (Ou×H) (Ou×W) (Or×H) and maybe they could be promising hybrids if they had superiority in other important traits. Variance due to general and specific combining ability were highly significant for all traits. This ensured that both types of genetic action (additive and non-additive) controlled the inheritance of these traits. σ2GCA/σ2SCA ratio of the additive genetic action overcame the one of non-additive cation in these traits: number of locules per fruit, average of fruit weight and fruit diameter, while the non-additive genetic action was superior in fruit length and total yield.
This study was conducted at the Agricultural Scientific Research Center in Buqa - Lattakia on eight vine crosses produced by Dr. Muhammad Mahfoud at the beginning of its entry into the fruiting phase during the two growing seasons (2010-2011) and the study aimed to: characterize these hybrids morphologically, biologically and physiologically, and study their economic feasibility and future uses.
The study was conducted to evaluate the efficiency of Pseudomonas chlororaphis MA342, Serratia plymuthica HRO-C48K, Bacillus subtillis B2g, B. subtillis FZB27 to induce systemic resistance in Tomato plants against Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) under greenhouse conditions. Tomato seeds submerged in suspension of Pseudomonas chlororaphis MA342, Serratia plymuthica HRO-C48, Bacillus subtillis B2g and B. subtillis FZB27 9×109cfu . plants emerged from these seed were inoculated with CMV after 10 days of planting. The time of beginning symptoms was recorded, Disease incidence, disease severity, area under disease progress curve AUDPC, progress of infection disease degrees during the study period were calculated using virtual symptoms . pyroxidas enzyme activity was determined, Some growth parameters such as Plant height, foliage fresh weight, root fresh weight , foliage dry weight, root dry weight were observed after 30 DAI. Results of this study showed that seed treatment with Pseudomonas chlororaphis MA342, Serratia .plymuthica HRO-C48, Bacillus subtillis B2g, B. subtillis FZB27 significantly decreased the diseases incidence on treated and inculated plants which ranged between 40% - 66.66% ,compared with un treated and inculated control 93.33% Without the presence of significant differences between the bacterial treatments. significantly decreased the diseases severity on treated plants which ranged between 45.53 %- 62.2% compared with inculated and un treated control 88.86% .Without the presence of significant differences between the bacterial treatments. Peroxidas activity on treated plants increased by Compared with untreated plants. Seed treatments with bacteria significantly increased the plant growth. The plant height , fresh and dry weight of foliage, fresh and dry weight of root on treated plants were significantly higher than those of inculated and un-treated plants according to LSD 5%.where bacteria reduced the rate of stunting and the rate of decline mild and dry weight of foliage and mild and dry weight of the root occurring due to infection with the Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV).
This research was conducted in plastic house in Zahed local for organic agriculture in Tartous in two agriculture season during(2014-2015) and(2015-2016) to study the effect of solid and liquid organic fertilizer from digstate in some Physical and Chimical Characteristics of Tomato fruit (hybride Nesma) in green house.
Green tomato fruits of different studied hybrids such as, Amal, Steel, Tartila, and 2-75/96, which had been grown in a greenhouse at Abi- Jarash Farm were picked up and stored at temperatures of 12 c and 20 c for 29 days. The fruits, which were st ored at 12 c had been transferred to 9 cْ, and then stored for an additional period of two weeks. The chemical composition of the stored fruits was evaluated, which included: acidity percentage, total soluble solids, and the quantity of vitamine C. The ratio of fruit weight loss during storage was studied as well.
