Yarmouk basin is considered one of the important basin in Syria due to its economical contribution in the total national production of the country. Also water plays a vital role in this effective activity of the economical development, the purpose of this research is to study the pollution in the southwest area inYarmouk basin on three levels: chemical, chemi-toxical and the Bacteriological. The study was done on three different sites which are: the outlet of Almzereeb lake, Zeizoun spring, Daael Al-kadeem well. The results were as follows: The rates of the concentration of both the ammonium and BOD in Zeizoun spring and Al-mzereeb lake high, where they exceeded the allowed limits in the drinking water of Zeizoun spring. But they remained within the allowed rates in the irrigation stander of Al-mzereeb lake, while there wasn’t any remarkable rising for such ions in the well of Daael Al-kadeem.

In order to implement this research soil profiles selected on a toposequence were systematically collected from different geohorizons. Results indicated that topographical factors played important roles in determining some soil features such as th e depth, texture distribution of CaCO3 and the fertility matter. The study showed that the soil content of minor element was ranged between moderate to low, and this may be related to the mineralogical composition of the parent rock and weathering status and to the use of these elements by the plants uptake during the long lasting exploitation. The results also indicated that the decrease of these elements was consistent with the decrease of elevation, such as heading from the slop to the plain. This probably also due to the relation between the leaching process and topographical position and to a less extend to the pH of the soil.
This study aimed to achieve the quantitive estimation of costs, returns, efficiency and income economic indicators of sheep breeding. Tow sources of data were used ,Questionnaire of random sample of breeders included (374 case) in the study area as primary data and MOAAR(annual agriculture statistical ), Database of NAPC, as secondary data.
The eddies at the Egyptian and the Middle East coasts are generated by the instability of the surface circulation (AW: Atlantic Water). For describing these eddies, a lot of satellite images (SST: Sea Surface Temperature) have been treated and analyz ed at the Levantine sub-basin. This study inferred that there is an approchement in the eddies´ trajectory in both south west and south east of the Levantine sub-basin, where most eddies tend to separate from AW towards off sea. While eddies in the south east of the Levantine develop faster than that in the south west.
This study was conducted to determine the chemical and physical analysis of two important water sources in the coastal erea, namely: Northern Elkabeer river and Balloran Dam. The study took a year and a half starting from June ١٩٩٩. The temperatu re the cations and the anions were periodically determined in three sites selected along the river bed. Results showed, that there are a large variations in the concentrations of the studied elements, in both water sources. The same variations were also observed among the three defined sites of the same source according to the ruling climatic factors during the year. The increase in the concentrations of most of chemical elements in water source was observed when the temerature increased. These concentrations generally reach the highest value in the latest Summer and the beginning of Autumn. It was shown that the impact of the biogeochemical factors namely: rainfall and floods, the water drianing from soils and the effect of agricultural and in dustrial waste - water became clear . According to the international and Syrian standards of water chimical qualities, the water of Balloran Dam and ١٦ Tishreen Dam can be used for drinking and irrigation purposes. While water of the tow studied sites on the Elkabeer river can only be used for irrigoation.
With the increasing need of the Syrian family for domestic water, there is a need to improve the techniques of rationalization of water consumption methods followed by the women . The main question of research was: What are the techniques used by S yrian women to rationalize the consumption of household water? The objectives of the research focused on: 1. Identifying the techniques used by Syrian women in the rational consumption of domestic water. 2. Analyzing the difference between the techniques of rationalization of water depending on the place of residence and the level of education of women, and the relationship between those techniques and women's age, job and income. The researcher followed content analysis method, and used a number of tools: - the rationalization standard, a direct and open interview questionnaire, and analysis card. The validity and reliability of tools were verified. The study population was the families living in the south-western provinces of Syria and the analysis sample was (778 interview card). the results showed that the Syrian women used a variety of techniques to rationalize the consumption of domestic water. They include six techniques, which are in descending order: alternatives (27.6%), organization (23.6%), recycling (23.3%), restriction (18.3%), technology (6.0%), and awareness (1.2%). Analysis of differences indicated that there were significant differences in the techniques of rationalization variables depending on the province, as well as depending on the level of education of women. The analysis showed as well the existence of a relationship between some of the techniques of rationalization and a number of other variables related to women; namely: age, job, and income. Research Recommendations: Qualifying women through the adoption of "water education" with the participation of various forms of education (formal education, non-formal education, and informal education).
