تعتبر القواعد أساسا اللغة و نظرا للدور الكبير الذي تلعبه في عملية تعليم و تعلم اللغة الفرنسية فقد جذبت اهتمامنا لضرورة إلقاء الضوء على صعوبات تدريس هذه المادة. سنتعرف في هذا البحث على صعوبات التعليم التي يتعرض لها طلاب السنة الأولى في قسم اللغة الفرنسية في جامعة تشرين, و خاصة فيما يتعلق بصعوبات تعليم مادة القواعد. ثم سنلقي الضوء على الأسباب المتعددة و المختلفة لهذه الصعوبات. و لن ننسى كذلك دور المدرسة و لا سيما تأثير التربية المدرسية على طلابنا الجامعيين. كما أننا سنعرض نتائج البحث بعد اجراء استبيان على طلابنا في السنة الأولى حيث سيعبرون بطريقتهم عن الصعوبات التي صادفتهم اثناء تلقيهم محاضرات مادة القواعد. و سنقدم في نهاية بحثنا بعض المقترحات التي تسعى إلى تذليل هذه الصعوبات و الى تطوير أسلوب تعليم مادة القواعد في قسم اللغة الفرنسية .

Choosing the university Specialty is one of the most important decisions that a
student must take at the beginning of his university life, and the student faces a range of
difficulties that may affect the process of choosing the profession of the f
uture. This
research deals with some of the factors that may affect the student's choice of university
Specialty. The extent of these factors will be determined by selecting the following
hypotheses:
- There is a statistically significant relationship between parents' pressure, and the
inability of the student to choose the right university Specialty.
- There is a statistically significant relationship between the low economic level of
the family and the inability of the student to choose freely.
- There is a statistically significant relationship between the student’s age and his
inability to choose the university Specialty that suits him.
- There is a statistically significant relationship between the intervention of friends
and the inability to choose the appropriate Specialty.
- There is a statistically significant relationship between the freedom to choose
university major and academic excellence.
The researcher designed a questionnaire that was applied to a sample of fifty
students from the fourth – year students of the Department of Sociology at Tishreen
University.
The results of the research show the following:
The weakness of the role of the family such as the parents pressure, economic
aspect in the university major selecting process. I also shows the weakness of the role of
peers in the selection process, and it became clear that the young age of the student greatly
affects the process of selection of his Specialty, but that success and excellence is not
limited to those who choose their own specialty, A person may succeed and make his life a
success story as long as he has the will to do so.
The research aims to identify the nature of the relationship between the
level of ambition and decision-making among a sample of first year
students at the University of Damascus, revealing the significance of
differences in performance on the lev
el of ambition scale and
attributed to two variables: Gender and competence among the
research sample, revealing the significance of differences in

sample totaled 170 students, 70 males and 100 females from the firstyear
students in the University of Damascus. And may researcher used

This paper is intended to investigate and scrutinize the reasons
behind the weaknesses of English major students in Philadelphia
University. One thing I would like to make clear before hand is that my
observations and conclusions are based on my p
ersonal experience gained
during my work as General Education Specialist ( English) UNRWA –
UNESCO through classroom visits to some community colleges and
Education Science Faculties in the five fields of UNRWA operations,
namely, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, West Bank and Gaza on the one hand,
and as a teacher of English at both Philadelphia University and the
University of Jordan on the other hand. I have discovered that the reasons
behind our students' weaknesses may refer to the learner, the curriculum
or the study plan with its three major components, namely, language,
linguistics and literature, and methods and teaching strategies.
