In this article, we propose a mathematical model, fundamentally based on evidence theory in order to process and to combine the information elements coming from different sources of information in a security system. These elements could be heterogeneous (qualitative, quantitative, ordinal, binary … etc.) and imperfect (imprecise, ambiguous, probable, missing values … etc.). Along with the heterogeneity and the imperfection, we must consider the case bases that contain security cases with solutions to help us to make decisions as supplementary sources of information (this is called in machine learning field ''case-based reasoning''). Furthermore, the proposed method must consider the conflict and the contradictory resulting from the different sources of evidence. The afore-mentioned issues will be explained through an illustrative numeric example to clarify the proposed model.

Educational data mining aims to study the available data in the educational field and extract the hidden knowledge from it in order to benefit from this knowledge in enhancing the education process and making successful decisions that will improve th e student’s academic performance. This study proposes the use of data mining techniques to improve student performance prediction. Three classification algorithms (Naïve Bayes,J48, Support Vector Machine) were applied to the student performance database, and then a new classifier was designed to combine the results of those individual classifiers using Voting Method. The WEKA tool was used, which supports a lot of data mining algorithms and methods. The results show that the ensemble classifier has the highest accuracy for predicting students' levels compared to other classifiers, as it has achieved a recognition accuracy of 74.8084%. The simple k-means clustering algorithm was useful in grouping similar students into separate groups, thus understanding the characteristics of each group, which helps to lead and direct each group separately.
The study aimed to identify the relationship between the technical, human, and regulatory abilities, and the adoption of decision support system in the Syrian Coast Banks. The researcher used the comprehensive inventory of all the banks in the Syri an Coast style, and relied on a questionnaire for data collection, where she distributed (118) to identify a sample of workers in the studied banks. The study concluded that the technical, human and regulatory abilities, have a role on the adoption of decision support system in the Syrian Coast Banks, and the most important result was that the banks own human capital is able to adopt a decision support systems. Then some of the recommendations show up for successful adoption of decision support systems and most important are: increased interest in available regulatory abilities through the necessity of a separate unit for decision support systems directly linked to the senior management at the banks in the Syrian Coast, and let the organizational structure to flow the information easily between different departments, greater attention to human abilities available to use the decision support systems like: provision of specialized training programs for workers to use decision support system software.
The use of traditional methods to analyze massive amounts of data sets is not conducive to the discovery of new knowledge patterns supports the decision-making process So the purpose of this article is designed visual analysis system that supports analysis of data sets through the use of automated analysis, which includes many of the techniques such as assembly process (clustering) and Altnsnev (classification) and the correlation base (association Rule) And the process of visual data exploration techniques Manifesting, and then the comparison with other data sets manifestation techniques and evaluation of the proposed Manifesting system.
Nowadays, the world witnesses a great knowledge wealth that has allowed the developed countries to transform their economies into what is called « Knowledge Economy ». This term, entirely, means producing, spreading and using knowledge in between its sectors by investing in its fundamental constituents that are manifested in education, research and development. Through this research, we aim at showing the notions related to the knowledge economy and at the diagnosis of its practical fact in Algeria by presenting the principal challenges that faced this new type of economy and by looking for the mechanisms which must be adopted by the state in order to overcome these obstacles.
This study aims at identifying the differences between Syrian commercial public and private banks regarding the role of client's creditworthiness criteria and their relative importance in the credit decision-making process, in addition to recognizi ng the differences in empowerment between bank's branches in credit decision. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire is designed to cover the creditworthiness fields according to 5Cs model, which includes (Character- Capability – Capital – Collateral- and Condition). A Descriptive approach is used where hypotheses are tested by Independent Sample T-test from SPSS. The results showed that all 5Cs criteria are important in the credit decision- making process, but their importance differs among private and public commercial banks except for the collateral, where private banks place more weight to this criterion. Both types of banks have a high degree of centralization regarding credit decision, and restrict the power of their branches in dealing with lending files.
