Widespread use of chemotherapy in the treatment of cancer has lead to higher health
hazards among nurses who handle and administer such drugs, so they should know how to
protect themselves from effects of chemotherapy. Objective of study was to ass
ess
knowledge and practices of nurses for safe handling chemotherapy in latakia City.
the data was collected by using questionnaire including demographic information
and safe handling chemotherapy knowledge and practices and barriers of personal
protective equipment . Results of this study showed there more than two to third of nurses
had no knowledge that chemotherapy enter the body through contaminated foods, about
practices of them more than three quarter didn't change of personnel protective barriers
after contact with chemotherapy. also Results showed there a significant negative
association between knowledge and practices. Moreover, It is showed there a significant
negative association between practices and barriers .Most of the study sample had
moderate level of knowledge and practices of safe handling chemotherapy. So it is
necessary that Chemotherapy Safety health education program should be instituted for all
oncology nurses who are working in oncology unit.
The main goal of maintaining and repairing equipment and machines during the
investment stages is to reduce the amount of money spent in order to maintain the validity
of their operation and the quality of their reliability under the different give
n investing
conditions (type of manufacturing materials, methods used, temperatures, nature of
investment, …. etc).
This goal can be achieved if we are able to control changes in the technical
conditions of equipment and the frictional parts during the investment stages, besides
knowing the physical laws/rules that govern the technical changes properly. Therefore, we
carried out a study on the theoretical plans of physical wear of brakes and the frictional
parts in means of transportation. This is done starting from wet (oily) wear plans of the
frictional parts in machines. Then, based on these plans we studied physical laws/rules
determining the intensity of dry wear of brakes, along with its speed and acceleration
during the investment and the unreliable, uneconomical (unsafe) operation stages, taking
into consideration the methods used in periodical technical maintenance, ways of driving,
and the average number of times brakes are used…etc .
Based on these formulas obtained, we can estimate/predict the start of ineffectiveness
of brakes and friction linings, in addition to the inception time of risky (unreliable)
operation stage. Consequently, this stage gives us indications for replacement or treating
with the traditional (known) mechanical and chemical ways, in light of the soaring prices
of materials in the Syrian Arab Republic.
The study seeks to determine the real time in electrical power system, which consists of
generating, transmitting and distributing equipment by using redistributing active power of
electrical generators in order to organizing the overload operation
of electrical power
transmission line loading in such case that the spare loads of electrical station are not
covering the important and necessary loads at failures.
The most of laws related to electrical power systems design indicated to proper ratio of
real time of electrical power system equipment along with characteristics of probability
distributed functions in addition to statistics methods which give a high possibility to
reduce the real time of considered loads; so; this leads to the requested solutions which
reduce the damage of failures at any time.

for the management of such cases.
