Development of the nursing profession and address future shortages in the labor force depends largely on the ability to attract young people to enter it, to attract these young people, it should start to identify the important factors that influence their choice of nursing profession. The study aims to identify factors influencing choice of students for the nursing profession. Research was conducted on a sample of 250 students(first-year) in Nursing College atTishreen University. Descriptive research methodologywas followed and questionnaire to collect data was used. Most of student perceived nursing as humanitarian job, 60% of them selected nursing as their first choice. For most students (72.8%), the main reason they chose to study nursing is the desire to help others. They were mostly motivated by their parents to join nursing. Nursing College was the first source of information of nursing. Nearly half of the students made the decision to workin nursing after graduationand (40%) decided to pursue higher education,
This study aimed to identify the impact of career management and demographic variables on organizational commitment of employees in a number of industrial companies in the Syrian coast, where the researcher followed the descriptive approach that fi ts the nature of the research, was relying on deliberate soft sample of (100) factor in the companies mentioned, data were analyzed and test hypotheses using a computer program SPSS 20. the researcher concluded to the following results: there is a positive and a weak correlation between the career management and organizational commitment in the companies under study, and this study found a positive and a weak correlation between the (promoting, job enrichment and training) and organizational commitment, and This study found no significant differences between the answer of respondents by sex and age, witch mean there is no differences between male and female responses, and there is no differences between the answer of the respondents according to age groups.
The research aims at identifying the role of training strategy -as an essential function of human resources management- in career planning for the employees in Latakia Textile Company.Due to the importance of planning and career development for employees in the public sector and its role in increasing the efficiency of employees performance and thus organization efficiency.
This study examines the relationship between training and career development for workers in the financial directorate of Homs. The problem of study summarized in a number of questions about the perceptions of workers to the concept of career developm ent. Do the training programs consider the requirements of career development in the Directorate? This study aimed to identtify the level of training in the directorate and its role in enhancing and strengthening the process of career development, as well as to identify the relationship between the two dimensions of career development (career planning and career management). The data of study were collected through a questionnaire contains a set of questions about the variables of the study, and distributed to a random sample of (150) workers in various departments and sections of the Directorate. The number of forms which recovered was (132) forms and excluded (9) forms due to a lack of information. The forms which were ready for analysis amounted to (123) forms. The most important results are: the level of training in the Directorate was medial, recognising the significant effect of training in the career development, and the relationship between training and career development with its two dimensions (individual and organizational dimension) was medial and positive, and the existence of a significant correlation between career planning and career management
