Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of
glass fibers in strength acrylic resin fracture around a overdenture
abutment.
A model was designed to simulate the
clinical situation of an implant overdenture abutment (50-1
2-1.5mm).
thirty specimens were divided divided into 3 groups, ( 10 specimens
without glass fibers , 10 specimens with one glass fibers, 10
specimens with two glass fibers). All specimens were submitted to a
3-point bending test
Surgical placement of dental implants may cause a certain degree
of pain and discomfort to some patients. Conventional nonsteroidal
anti-inflammatory drugs have been widely used in the
control of postoperative pain, but sparse information is avail
able
about the efficacy of celecoxib, a selective cyclooxygenase-2
inhibitor, after surgical placement of dental implants.
The aim of this study was to compare the analgesic efficacy of
celecoxib and ibuprofen on pain control after the surgical
placement of dental implants .
The initial retention of implant-supported removable partial
dentures(ISRPD) is unknown. the purpose of this in vitro study was
to compare maximum dislodging forces of distal extension
mandibular ISRPD with three different clasp design. a stimulat
ed
class 1 partially edentulous mandible was prepared with two
implant in the first molar regions and two metal ceramic on distal
abutments. Fifteen bilateral distal extension frameworks was
fabricated with three different clasp design (Akers, I bar clasp ,no
clasp),each specimen was subjected to three type of retention
pulls ( main ,unilateral ,posterior pulls) five time with universal
testing machine.
The purpose of the present study was to radiologically assess the
hard tissue changes around the immediately loaded implants single
tooth bioactivated with plasma rich in growth factors ,placed in the
mandibular posterior region . Twenty dental im
plants placed in 13
patients had at least single edentulous space in the posterior
region of the mandible using single stage procedure after
bioactivation the implants surfaces with plasma rich in growth
factors.

Maxillary sinus augmentation is frequently necessary before placement of
dental implants in the posterior maxilla. Besides autogenous bone graft, various bone substitutes have
been used widely to augment the maxillary sinus,successful bone augmenta
tion in the maxillary sinus
without bone grafting and osseointegration of implants have been reported in several studies, recently,
successful bone reformation in the sinus using autologous platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) concentrateas an
alternative to bone grafting has been reported.
The aim of this study: was to assess the useof PRF clots and membranes as the sole filling material during
a lateral sinus lift with immediate implantation using radiologic exam (cone beam ct).
