The initial retention of implant-supported removable partial dentures(ISRPD) is unknown. the purpose of this in vitro study was to compare maximum dislodging forces of distal extension mandibular ISRPD with three different clasp design. a stimulated class 1 partially edentulous mandible was prepared with two implant in the first molar regions and two metal ceramic on distal abutments. Fifteen bilateral distal extension frameworks was fabricated with three different clasp design (Akers, I bar clasp ,no clasp),each specimen was subjected to three type of retention pulls ( main ,unilateral ,posterior pulls) five time with universal testing machine.

This study aims to investigate the effect of the alveolar ridge shape in the distribution of stress at the lower removable partial dentures supported by implants using a finite element method, with four models for a half mandible are designed with a free end saddle using an ANSYS program and Canine was abutment, where the remaining ridge is representing the four alveolar ridge shapes (horizontal and distal descending and concave and distal ascending), two removable partial dentures were designed for each model one supported by tooth and fibromucosa and another one supported by tooth and implant, it has been applied a load of 50 Newton on all models and has been studied stress equivalent for each model.
It is necessary when designing removable partial dentures to be fixed, stable and well supported for improving patient comfort, and decreasing damages on soft tissues and dental abutments, the alveolar ridge has a strong influence in planning for treatment and interpretations biomechanical when treated with removable partial dentures, and have four shapes in the sagittal plane which are horizontal shape, concave shape, distal ascending shape and descending shape.
Factors affecting the usage of removable partial dentures (RPDs) are still controversial. Since the RPD usage is partly related to patients’ personality, variations among different population is expected. This study aimed to evaluate the factors that influence the RPDs denture usage in patients of undergraduate students of Damascus University by using telephone call one-year after delivery.
This study aims toassesst patient’s satisfaction with partial dentures fixed by two different extracoronal attachments in the mandibular of cases Kennedy class II . It used a sample consisting of 10 patients have lost bilateral in the mandibular we re prepared two abutments (first and second premolar ) and compensation as follows : the right side of the patient by rigid attachment type MKI and the left side by resilient attachment type ASC 52 , then to assess patient’s satisfaction for each of the two types of attachments was conducted after a month and 6 months on the use of dentures using by scale 0 5 (0 = excellent ,1 = very good, 2 = good, 3 = middle , 4 = bad, 5 = very bad) , so that the assessment in terms : general satisfaction included (aesthetics, speech and retention ), comfort , the ability to chew ,easy removal denture , deposition foods under the removable part . The results showed , no difference statistically significant between tow attachments in terms of general satisfaction included (aesthetics, speech and retention) ,comfort , the ability to chew ,easy removal denture after one month and 6 months to use the dentures while showing difference statistically significant between tow attachments after one month and 6 months to use the dentures , when the level significance p< 0.05 .
The aim of this study is to evaluate the change in structure of oral mucosa after using the partial denture with semiprecision attachment or Molloplast-B-. Twenty patients, males and females, have been taken with age ranges between (40-71 years), and having Class 1 Kennedy in the mandible.
