Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of glass fibers in strength acrylic resin fracture around a overdenture abutment. A model was designed to simulate the clinical situation of an implant overdenture abutment (50-12-1.5mm). thirty specimens were divided divided into 3 groups, ( 10 specimens without glass fibers , 10 specimens with one glass fibers, 10 specimens with two glass fibers). All specimens were submitted to a 3-point bending test

Objective: The purpose of this randomized، double-blind،controled trial was to evaluate the clinical and radiographic effects of 0.12% chlorhexidine digluconate gel on peri-implant (hard and soft tissues surrounding the implant) maintenance. Mater ial and methods: Forty patients (80 implants) who received two implants at least were randomly assigned to two groups: 0.12% chlorhexidine digluconate gel as test group، and placebo without CHX as control group. Clinical and radiographic parameters were recorded at day 10، month 2، 4، and 6. Results: All clinical parameters except PPD showed better results in test group which had statistically significant reductions (P< 0.05) in modified plaque index، modified gingival index، modified bleeding index and attachment level compared to the placebo group. There were no significant differences between groups in probing pocket depth or radiographic parameter. Conclusions: The results of this clinical study indicate that twice daily use of 0.12% chlorhexidine digluconate gel may enhance the peri-implant maintenance.
This research aims to study the effect of heat treatment on curing of reinforced Unsaturated Polyester Resin (UPR) with fiberglass, and to study the effect of storage time and the time of exposure to natural aging on curves absorption. The results showed that it is very difficult to reach a fully curing to UPR matrix, and Storage samples for three years reveal resistance to degradation in fresh and seawater comparing with storage samples for three months, or aging by exposed to environmental for three years. The results showed also that the absorption occurs by thin film, and not prevent by increasing the layers of reinforcement
This research includes an experimental study and a nonlinear analysis using the finite element method of reinforced concrete beams with large opening in body that exist in shear zone . The tested beams are simply supported with rectangular section and without additional reinforcement in opening region. The opening is square in shape with variable dimensions and constant distance from the support . Studying the effect of changing length of the opening on the behavior of the reinforced concrete beams was already completed. The modes of cracks , (load-deflection ) relationship, ultimate load and the mode of failure for all beams were determinate . The study showed that existence an opening in shear region of beams reduce the strength of beams and affect on the mode of shear failure , and any addition in the depth of the opening lead to early cracks , more deflections and less ultimate failure load .
Isthe radiographic bone density bigger at the area of implant orof tooth?and is thisdensity changingafter one year of function betweentooth and implant connected with bridge? the aim of the studyis tostudythe changing of radiographic bone density d uring one year of radial observation of the bone area around the tooth and implant connected with bridge with 3 units(rigid or non-rigid connection) depending on digital periapical radiographic.
