In this article, we propose a mathematical model, fundamentally based on evidence theory in
order to process and to combine the information elements coming from different sources of
information in a security system. These elements could be heteroge
neous (qualitative,
quantitative, ordinal, binary … etc.) and imperfect (imprecise, ambiguous, probable, missing
values … etc.). Along with the heterogeneity and the imperfection, we must consider the case
bases that contain security cases with solutions to help us to make decisions as supplementary
sources of information (this is called in machine learning field ''case-based reasoning'').
Furthermore, the proposed method must consider the conflict and the contradictory resulting
from the different sources of evidence. The afore-mentioned issues will be explained through an
illustrative numeric example to clarify the proposed model.
The objective of this field study was to examine the effect of brand
name dimensions, namely; brand perceived price, brand perceived
quality on purchase decision. The field research was carried out
on university youth in Syria. Aimed the research
was to
understand the most influential brand name dimensions on
purchase decision. Based on brand name literature, previous
empirical and conceptual studies, a self-administered
questionnaire was developed as a primary data collection method.
The questionnaire instrument was distributed and delivered to a
convenience sample (800 students) of Al-Furat university.
Descriptive statistics, simple and multiple regression analysis
techniques were employed to test the research model and
hypotheses. Empirical findings revealed a positive and significant
impact of brand name dimensions (brand perceived price, brand
perceived quality) on purchase decision of youth university.
The industrial sector is considered one of the most important sectors leading to economic
growth and development in all countries, and government policies, especially economic ones,
are not limited to provisions and decisions aimed at providing the
necessary components for
the continued role and growth of this sector. Since there are rarely industrial projects based on
their own sources. Hence, this research discussed the role played by the credit granted to this
sector in the form of loans and advances in activating the movement of investments in it and
