The extraction and analysis of human gait characteristics using image sequences is currently an intense area of research. Recently, the focus of this research area has turned to the realm of computer vision as a way of performing quickly and accurately gait analysis system. Such a system could be used as a preprocessing step in a more sophisticated gait analysis system or could be used for rehabilitation purposes.In this thesis, a new method is proposed which utilizes a novel fusion of spatial computer vision operations as well as motion in order to accurately and efficiently determine the center of mass of a walking person at a video scene. Then we make a comparison between our method’s results and the inverted pendulum model of the movement's center of mass of a walking person in the XY plane. The results showed a significant correspondence between the model and the results we have obtained, which opens the way for further research to discover defects walking or develop algorithms for humanoid robots.

In this study, we present a state-of-art model; we call SYRIA, to simulate the activity of ventricular myocardial cell as an example of simulating a human cell, in which we use the latest mathematical models of cardiac cell. We rely on O'Hara (O'Hara , et al., 2011) for modeling electrical activity, ions hemostasis, and contracting. Our presented model takes into consideration the role of potassium channels KATP, chloride channels, volume regulation channels based on the Kyoto model (A.Takeuchi, 2006), PH regulation channels based on Leem model (Leem, et al., 1999), and the improvement of the values of some variables based on the results of modern experiments, especially concentrations of ions within the mitochondrial and cytoplasm, the values of calcium buffers in the SR, values of the conductance of membrane channels, and concentrations of metabolites in the mitochondria. The previous models have been linked to a mitochondrial model based on Kembro (Kembro, et al., 2013). The SYRIA model is based on the integration and improvement of the best known models in a hierarchical structure that facilitates understanding, monitoring and reuse, we also present models for testing drugs and some external influences. The programming process is done using blocks of M-file and S-function in Simulink. By comparing the results obtained from the simulation with the laboratory results, we observe that computer simulations give results within the normal physiological range .
The simplified dynamic mathematical model of hybrid stepper motor was studied in this research. The aim was to simplify the study and to concentrate on certain topic of this subject. The mathematical model which describes their mechanical and elect rical dynamic behavior of the mentioned motor was done. Whereas, the mechanical model can be derived by Newton law, and electrical model can be derived by Kirchhoff law depending on the electrical equivalent circuit to each phase.
Emphasis Selection is a newly proposed task which focuses on choosing words for emphasis in short sentences. Traditional methods only consider the sequence information of a sentence while ignoring the rich sentence structure and word relationship inf ormation. In this paper, we propose a new framework that considers sentence structure via a sentence structure graph and word relationship via a word similarity graph. The sentence structure graph is derived from the parse tree of a sentence. The word similarity graph allows nodes to share information with their neighbors since we argue that in emphasis selection, similar words are more likely to be emphasized together. Graph neural networks are employed to learn the representation of each node of these two graphs. Experimental results demonstrate that our framework can achieve superior performance.
Optical filter is one of the most accurate and important elements in pure optical communication network which uses wavelength division multiplexing (WDM). This research includes studying Acousto Optic Tunable Filter (AOTF) in linear anisotropic mediu m, which depends on the interaction principle between optical waves and acoustic waves. This paper describes simulating and testing the AOTF in MATLAB/Simulink software which is a strong tool for simulating and designing various systems. We have achieved an AOTF model, and created special block which could be added to MATLAB Simulink Library. We have also evaluated the performance of this filter and its ability to select one wavelength between the set combined by WDM. Moreover, we have studied the effect of acoustic wave frequency, its velocity, the properties of the crystal used in manufacturing it, and other influent parameters, along the selected wavelength.
