This research includes an amendment to a TCP-Peach+ protocol to improve the performance of the TCP over satellite links, Where the protocol has been proposed based on splitting the connecting path between the source and target, in order to obtain a n adjusted protocol of the kind of Satellite transport protocol (STP) specialized in the space segment only, and that by proposing a new algorithm for this protocol which is located under the satellite transport layer (STL). We have focused in our research on a comparison between the proposed protocol and TCP-Peach+ protocol.
The research aims at determine the gender and the features of the characters in children’s programs on CN. We chose an analytical descriptive approach that relies on content analysis as a research tool.To achieve that a content analysis form was ap plied on a sample of (295) programs. Results were as following: 1- The most common subjects in CN programs were the social subjects, and the fiction subjects. 2- The most common language was the classical Arabic. 3- Most programs on CN were foreign. 4- The most common gender was the male relatively (%53.81). 5- the most common features of male characters were: the fashionable look, happy and joy, strong and supernatural power. 6 - The most common features of female characterswere: the fashionable look, happy and joy, the self-confidence.
We can notice nowadays that globalization, with its own variety of means, has worked and is still working to spread chaos and violence and to destroy affiliation through its project oriented against women, youth and childhood. Globalization is trying to uproot their identity and affiliations and subordinate them to the market economy that disregards the sense of nationalism and replace it with a bank account and credit card number. It also works to objectify our humanity and change it into a commodity to change the individual into a domesticated human being in rigid molds, wasting his/her existence and transforming them into a tool. The image of female body is no more than an advertising tool, used for the promotion of various merchandise through focusing on the instinctive sexual aspects. This transforms women into a myth with multiple connotations (distraction and "breastfeeding" entertainment, violence and delinquency, excitement of physical desires, etc). Has TV drama on Syrian TV satellite channels contributed to the promotion of this image? Or has it worked to change this image and reduce the phenomenon of domestic violence actually practised? What are the recommendations and suggestions that can enrich this research and provide solutions regarding the phenomenon of domestic violence against women in our society? .
This research involves a simulation of four channels coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) transceiver. The study is done on the effect of the extinction ratio(ER) of the directly modulated laser (DML) diode, the effect of using Erbium doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) in optical fiber links on the quality factor (Q) and the bit error ratio (BER) when using different lengths of fiber. Then a comparison is made between the CWDM network using the amplifier EDFA and the same network without using the amplifier EDFA. In addition, the study is done on the effect of optical fiber length on Q with and without the amplifier EDFA, and we demonstrated the relationship between them diagrammatically.
