Building a photovoltaic system is the process of designing, selecting and calculating the ratings of the equipment’s employed in the system. This process depends on a variety of factors such as geographical location, solar irradiation, and load requirements. this paper presents a practical way to calculate the elements and components of the Stand-Alone PV energy system, And procedure an economic analysis for the system, will allow GUI designed by MATLAB knowledge of these components depending on the efficiency of the Inverter, power solar panels and capacity of batteries in local market, taking into account the climatic factors and hours of solar radiation in the system installation area, as well as the cost of the system and the payback time.

In this research, a research and educational tool for studying the sensitivity of the vehicle's suspension system to the properties and parameters of the suspension’s components is developed. This tool is a program that can study different models cre ated using the Matlab/Simulink software package with its various libraries. Different types of models can be analysed, such as differential equation models expressing a mathematical model, block diagrams, or state space models. The tool also enables students to identify the suspension’s components, and its basic design parameters, and choose these parameters. Researchers and students will be able to test their models in terms of response, overshoot, and sensitivity, when conducting simulations in different working conditions.
This paper presents a three phase shunt Active Power Filter (APF) for power quality improvements in terms of harmonics compensation. The compensation process is based on measure non-liner load currents and Active Filter currents, and then extract t he references from measured currents. Measured currents are then transferred from abc frame to d-q reference frame. A Synchronous Proportional Integral controller (Synchronous PI controller) is used. The control signals then drive the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) routine, where its output controls the Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) switching devices. The performance of the Active Filter and the Synchronous PI controller is validated though the simulink results in MATLAB environment.

This research aims at studying types of PV Systems and their applications in many practical fields. It also aims at looking into all the components and technical specifications of the equipment. That's what serves these systems' design and implemen tation ways through designing and performing a 12 [KW] Stand- alone PV System. This system is usually used to supply one of the Green Buildings lighting at night with a back- up grid to achieve a high reliability in supplying the load. This project also aims at strengthening national qualifications in the fields of research, development and operation.
