على الصعيد الدولي تلقى الرضاعة الوالدية دعماً و تشجيعاً كبيراً، و خاصة فـي دول العـالم النامي، حيث يترافق الفطام الباكر و أخطاء التغذية بارتفاع ملحوظ فـي نـسبة الإمراضـية و الوفيات عند الرضع بالنظر لانعكاساتها على صحة الرضيع. محلياً كان لا بد مـن إجـراء دراسة مستقبلية (1/1/2001 و حتى 31/5/2002) لمعرفة نسبة الرضاعة الوالدية و مدتها بعد تخرج الأمهات قسم التوليد مشفى الأسد الجامعي من المشفى. تم ملء الاستبانة مـن قبـل /257/ امرأة و أمكن تحليل /226/ منها. كانت نسبة الرضاعة الوالدية 82.89 % و الفترة الوسطية لها (8) أشهر. و بالمقابل كانت نسبة إخفاق الرضاعة الوالدية (18.10) % فقط. إحصائياً لم يؤدِ مستوى التعليم و/أو العمل دوراً في خيار الرضاعة في حين كان للتـشجيع دور واضحاً لصالح الرضاعة الوالدية. لم يكن لطريقة الولادة (55.49 % قيصرية و هو رقم مرتفع نسبياً) أي دور سلبي على خيار الرضاعة الوالدية، و لم يؤدِ جنس المولود أي دور في هذا الخيار. يبقى للأطر الصحية دور في تشجيع الرضاعة الوالدية و استمراريتها مع الأخـذ بالحـسبان خيارات الأهل و رغبتهم في ذلك.

and productivity of the workers and staff in every field. Aim: This descriptive study was
aimed to assess burnout among 135 nurses, were randomly chosen, working in various
section of Al-Assad university hospital. The data were collected by using a translated
version of the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Services Survey. Results: Showed high
levels of burnout among nurses as general Nurses working in Emergency Room, Intensive
Care, Operation Room with Baccholrius degree had high level of Emotional Exhaustio
(EE). Nurses young people experienced high level of Depronalization (D). Nurses working
in night shift showed low level of Personal Accomplishment (PA(.No statistical
significance was found between burnout and gende, marital status, work experience.
Conclusions: this problem must be studied more deeply and related factors should be
recognized in order to reduce burn out among nurses. Many affected aspects of nurse's job
should be noticed and appropriate intervention should be conducted.
Introduction: As nursing develop with regard to science, knowledge & practice and nursing responsibilities increase, critical thinking- the ability to question and make rational decisions- becomes even more important. Whereas, critical thinking requi
res that all thoughts and actions be examined objectively, in patient care almost all actions require decision making, and problem solving. Critical thinking is an essential element in decision making which involves choices, and problem solving which requires analysis. Through critical thinking skills, a nurse manager can become a transformational leader. She can challenge the routine nursing practices now, develop a more robust understanding of any problem underlying causes, and develop her leadership skills as well as develop more creative solutions when using critical thinking. Although, critical thinking skills are more important but there were few studies both English and Arabic and there was no study in Syria concerned with critical thinking skills that must used by nurse mangers to do their role effectively, for that this study was conducted and aimed to assess critical thinking skills of nurse managers in Al- Assad university hospital and Al- Wattany hospital in Lattakia. The study was conducted in Al- Assad university and Al- Wattany hospitals in Lattakia. Whereas, The study sample consisted of 21 nurse managers , and 80 nurses from both hospitals. The results of this study showed that there were positive convergence between nurses 'viewpoints and nurse managers ' viewpoints in both hospitals and that nurse managers used critical thinking skills in their practice.
