هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى معرفة قدرة البيوتين على الحماية من الإجهاد التأكسدي المحـدث بفـوق
أوكسيد الهيدروجين (الماء الأوكسجيني) H2O2 بتركيز 1 % المستهلك في ماء الشرب من قبـل ذكـور
الأرانب المحلية. استخدم في هذه الدراسة 40 ذكراً من الأرانب المحليـة بعمـر 7 – 8 أشـهر، قـسمت
عشوائياً إلى أربع مجموعات، بواقع 10 أرانب لكل مجموعة وكانت على التـوالي المجموعـة الأولـى:
أُعطيت علفاً قياسياً و ماء اعتيادياً و عدت المجموعة القياسية، المجموعة الثانية: أُعطيت علفـاً قياسـياً
و ماء مضافاً إليه فوق أوكسيد الهيدروجين بتركيز 1% المجموعة الثالثة: أُعطيت علفـاً قياسـياً مـع
تجريعها بالبيوتين بتركيز 200 مايكروغرام/كغم من وزن الجسم، المجموعة الرابعة: أُعطيت علفاً قياسياً
و ماء مضافاً إليه فوق أوكسيد الهيدروجين بتركيز 1 %مع تجريعها بالبيوتين بتركيز 200 مـايكروغرام/
كغ من وزن الجسم، و عوملت هذه المجاميع يومياً مدة 8 أسابيع.
The present study aimed to investigate the capacity of biotin in preventing
oxidative stress induced by hydrogen peroxide H2O2 at a concentration of 1%
given with consumed drinking water to local male rabbits. 40 male rabbits aged
7-8 months, were used in this study and were divided randomly into four
groups, with 10 rabbits within group, as follow: the first group was given
standard forage and normal water and considered as control, the second group
was given standard forage and 1% H2O2 in water, the third group was given
standard forage and 200 mg biotin /kg body weight in water, the fourth group
was given standard forage, 1% H2O2 and 200 mg biotin /kg body weight in
water. All groups were treated daily for 8 weeks.
