History of Damascus is not enough to explain its emergence. the inadequacy of available scientific justifications for Damascus in apart from the urban surroundings, originate hard acceptance for results of many studies on the evolution of Damascus compared to the recommendations which were described by the old specialists when choosing places of cities. This research tends to overtake some of the historical statements; and heading towards proving the importance of existing urban pattern in the spatial domain, that was before the emergence of Damascus and accompanied its inception, and the area subjected to a regional effects had an impact on the regular urban which responds to the terms of the creation of dominate city before Damascus.
This paper aims at revealing the image of Joan of Arc as it appeared in two well-known chronicles: Edward Hall's chronicles and that of Raphael Holinshed, which are regarded as the basic sources for her image in Shakespeare's play Henry VI Part 1. This paper then proceeds to show her image in a major French history book, and in other literary works which can help us to understand her personality as a female warrior who faces many changes by reason of that role.
We developed a system for task 6 sub-task 1 for detecting propaganda in memes. An external dataset and augmentation data-set were used to extend the official competition data-set. Data augmentation techniques were applied on the external data-set and competition data-set to come up with the augmented data-set. We trained 5 transformers (DeBERTa, and 4 RoBERTa) and ensembled them to make the prediction. We trained 1 RoBERTa model initially on the augmented data-set for a few epochs and then fine-tuned it on the competition data-set which improved the f1-micro up to 0.1 scores. After that, another initial RoBERTa model was trained on the external data-set merged with the augmented data-set for few epochs and fine-tuned it on the competition data-set. Furthermore, we ensembled the initial models with the models after fine-tuning. For the final model in the ensemble, we trained a DeBERTa model on the augmented data-set without fine-tuning it on the competition data-set. Finally, we averaged the output of each model in the ensemble to make the prediction.
The recent Text-to-Text Transfer Transformer'' (T5) leveraged a unified text-to-text format and scale to attain state-of-the-art results on a wide variety of English-language NLP tasks. In this paper, we introduce mT5, a multilingual variant of T5 th at was pre-trained on a new Common Crawl-based dataset covering 101 languages. We detail the design and modified training of mT5 and demonstrate its state-of-the-art performance on many multilingual benchmarks. We also describe a simple technique to prevent accidental translation'' in the zero-shot setting, where a generative model chooses to (partially) translate its prediction into the wrong language. All of the code and model checkpoints used in this work are publicly available.
There are many views on the question of the logic and mechanisms of historical development of human society; visions and answers vary, to the extent of total conflict sometimes, on other issues that relate organically to the first question, perhaps the most prominent of which is the general picture of the historical evolution diagram, Sequentially spherical stages, as well as the question of the so-called nation or the multiple nations that alternately lead the ship of the evolution of human society in general. This is where the sharp contrast between the two theories of the so-called equal evolution and the unequal historical evolution as a problem from which the research begins and ends with emphasis on the credibility of the last thesis and on highlighting a large and dangerous part of the ideological manipulation and blindness of the first thesis. The latter, which is one of the moss serious thesis of European orientalism and the pervasive wooden understanding of the original thought of Marxist origin.
