T cells express co-stimulatory molecules on their surfaces in both normal and pathologic settings; however, the possibility that expression of these co-stimulators may enable individual T cells to co-stimulate themselves has not been investigated. This study aims at assessing the possible potentiation of T cells activation and proliferation both in vitro and in vivo via enforced B7-1 expression on T lymphocytes using a non-genetic approach, i.e. cell painting, that comprises binding of recombinant B7-1 to plasma membrane-anchored palmitoylated protein A.

Cancer stem cells in solid tumors are a "rare" group of cells and their role in carcinogenesis has been proven during the past few years. The pursuit for specific oral epithelial stem cell surface markers leads to the identification of markers su ch as CD44 and Bmi-1. The combination between CD44 which has been considered a potential prognostic marker for cancer stem cells in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC), and Bmi-1 the pluripotency stemness marker may lead to identify the cells sharing the properties of both markers and could give a closer look into its appearance and density in the tissue. The aim of this study was to study the percent of cells stained positive for both markers and the histological grade of (HNSCC) and the anatomic location of the tumor. Statistical analysis showed that higher density of positive stained cells for both markers was in the severe grade of the tumor, whereas the second higher ratio was in the mild grade then the moderate , there was no significant association between the density of cells and the anatomical location. Our results suggest that the two markers together could be used as prognostic factors for patients with even mild grade SCC, which might help in prediction of recurrence.
In this study, we present a state-of-art model; we call SYRIA, to simulate the activity of ventricular myocardial cell as an example of simulating a human cell, in which we use the latest mathematical models of cardiac cell. We rely on O'Hara (O'Hara , et al., 2011) for modeling electrical activity, ions hemostasis, and contracting. Our presented model takes into consideration the role of potassium channels KATP, chloride channels, volume regulation channels based on the Kyoto model (A.Takeuchi, 2006), PH regulation channels based on Leem model (Leem, et al., 1999), and the improvement of the values of some variables based on the results of modern experiments, especially concentrations of ions within the mitochondrial and cytoplasm, the values of calcium buffers in the SR, values of the conductance of membrane channels, and concentrations of metabolites in the mitochondria. The previous models have been linked to a mitochondrial model based on Kembro (Kembro, et al., 2013). The SYRIA model is based on the integration and improvement of the best known models in a hierarchical structure that facilitates understanding, monitoring and reuse, we also present models for testing drugs and some external influences. The programming process is done using blocks of M-file and S-function in Simulink. By comparing the results obtained from the simulation with the laboratory results, we observe that computer simulations give results within the normal physiological range .
The protein p53 is the guardian of the cell gene contents from changes, and the gene that produces it is called Tumor Suppressor Gene which mutates in 50% of Squamous cell carcinoma’s cases producing defective protein .Studies have not detailed the expression ratio of the defective protein Within the cancer cells, also studies have less details about the cases which did not show a mutated protein.
The study aimed to look at the reality of the application of information and communication technology in small and medium enterprises in Syria, and stand on the most important requirements for effective use of this technology is effective. The stu dy sample included an administrative 96 in a number of small and medium enterprises in the cities of Latakia and Tartous during the first half of 2015 represented. the most prominent results of the study that the most important requirements for activating the use of technology in institutions under consideration is the availability of qualified trained and reduce the cost of the use of technology and the development of the necessary infrastructure, In addition to the type of activity, which plays an important role in the extent of the use of technology.
Current embedding-based large-scale retrieval models are trained with 0-1 hard label that indicates whether a query is relevant to a document, ignoring rich information of the relevance degree. This paper proposes to improve embedding-based retrieval from the perspective of better characterizing the query-document relevance degree by introducing label enhancement (LE) for the first time. To generate label distribution in the retrieval scenario, we design a novel and effective supervised LE method that incorporates prior knowledge from dynamic term weighting methods into contextual embeddings. Our method significantly outperforms four competitive existing retrieval models and its counterparts equipped with two alternative LE techniques by training models with the generated label distribution as auxiliary supervision information. The superiority can be easily observed on English and Chinese large-scale retrieval tasks under both standard and cold-start settings.
