The preparation of the environmental impact assessment report (EIA) with high quality is one of the important elements in the effective translation of this practice into this process. The objective of this research is to assess the quality of a set of EIA reports belonging to different development sectors on the Syrian coast using the package "Cooley & Lee" (Lee at all 1999), in addition to conducting a questionnaire of the environmental impact assessment in the coastal area with some experts to find out their views on the quality of the reports executed and the difficulties of working, and taking their views on the legislation adopted in Syria. This research reveals the existence of several weaknesses and shortcomings for the preparation of reports in some areas, and the need for guidance especially in the coastal area which will develop this process. Finally, we provide suggestions and recommendations that will improve the environmental impact assessment process in general.

The environment is the effective framework in which man lives and interacts with him, and with the development of the human being and the growth and increase of his requirements, this led to various changes in the ecosystem, which can be positive or negative, and the need to reduce the negative impact of the change on the ecosystem and raise the level of the positive impact.
The environmental culture is often absent from the minds of investors. Thus, devoted architect efforts in the field of production form،Without regard to the extent influenced by the concepts of sustainability. As well as the impact of production on t he environment negatively. We find architectural products require high operating costs. Because of exaggeration in the use of materials may not be environmentally compatible. The architect alone is not responsible. There is also a lack of appreciation from the community. Or interest in the traditional entrance in Architecture, (Use of traditional solutions in climate treatment( In addition to the lack of real environmental legislation to deter it. It is imperative to make binding for buildings and tourist complexes existing environmental procedures. And adherence to the study is necessary to reach the tourism respectful of the environmental standards. Reduction of the consumption of resources and on the design process and the level of sustainable tourism level. This paper deals with the process and presents the basic steps that you must follow in resolving such buildings. And through monitoring some recreational facilities and tourist complexes around the world. It explains the general effects that led to the development of this type of buildings. It also includes some of the foundations and the general principles and standards-setting process to adjust the design and architectural sketch. In order to address such buildings academically in Syria.
The main goal of this study is to produce landslide sensitivity mapusing GIS at Syrian Coast area.At the first stage of the study, 75% of the landslides locations (45 landslide locations) are used as training dataset and the rest was used as (15 la ndslide locations) the validation dataset. Fourteen input data layers were employed as landslide conditioning factors in the landslide sensitivity mapping. These factors are slope degree, aspect, altitude, plan curvature, profile curvature, tangential curvature, surface area ratio (SAR), lithology, land use, distance from faults, distance from rivers, distance from roads, topographic wetness index (TWI) and stream power index (SPI). Using these conditioning factors, landslide sensitivity index was calculated. Subsequently, the result was plotted in ArcGIS and landslide sensitivity map was obtained. The produced sensitivity map is useful for general land-use planning.
This research examines the impact of physical environmental Uncertainty on the environmental management accounting (EMA) adoption level. Specifically, it aims at defining the relationship among the government's environmental policy, environmental resources and services used by the organization, environmental products, markets and demand, green competition, environmental technology in the industry, the behavior of environmental stakeholders in the organization, and how major environmental issues are affecting the organization concerning EMA adoption among manufacturing companies in Syria. Drawing from the contingency theory, the research seeks to identify the extent to which physical environmental uncertainty influences EMA adoption level. Hypotheses were constructed based on a direct proportion relationship between the physical environmental uncertainty and EMA adoption level. A total of 68 managers working in 20 Syrian manufacturing companies participated in the survey. Physical environmental uncertainty was tested against the EMA adoption level via simple regression analysis and correlation. The findings indicated that there is a direct proportion relationship between the physical environmental uncertainty and the EMA adoption level. The findings were discussed, and some recommendations and suggestions were provided.
AlSin Spring spurts at the foot of coastal mountains and pours in The Mediterranean sea near Arab-Almulk village. Presently, spring water used for drinking, irrigation and industry, while excess water goes to sea. Current research aims to determin e the daily discharge response to daily rainfall, and to set an equation for recession discharge for predicting spring discharge and volumes of flow after definite time from the beginning of spring base flow, which allows to operate and manipulate available water resources through an optimum design of water intake from this spring. Response time of AlSin Spring between (3-5) days for average discrete daily rainfall with high intensity which caused 0.5 ~ 1.0 m3/sec increasing in spring discharge value. Yearly discharge trends to decrease with a rate of 0.0975 m3/sec between 1974 and 2016 years. While the monthly minimum discharges increase about 0.1284 m3/sec, and monthly maximums decrease about 0.0752 m3/sec between 1994 and 2016. We recommend adopting recession curve analysis to predict the optimal discharge of springs within definite periods.
