Semantic representation that supports the choice of an appropriate connective between pairs of clauses inherently addresses discourse coherence, which is important for tasks such as narrative understanding, argumentation, and discourse parsing. We pr
opose a novel clause embedding method that applies graph learning to a data structure we refer to as a dependency-anchor graph. The dependency anchor graph incorporates two kinds of syntactic information, constituency structure, and dependency relations, to highlight the subject and verb phrase relation. This enhances coherence-related aspects of representation. We design a neural model to learn a semantic representation for clauses from graph convolution over latent representations of the subject and verb phrase. We evaluate our method on two new datasets: a subset of a large corpus where the source texts are published novels, and a new dataset collected from students' essays. The results demonstrate a significant improvement over tree-based models, confirming the importance of emphasizing the subject and verb phrase. The performance gap between the two datasets illustrates the challenges of analyzing student's written text, plus a potential evaluation task for coherence modeling and an application for suggesting revisions to students.
This research aimed to Specifying the role of singing songs in teaching of Arabic
subject from the point of view of Educational mentors and teachers at the first Colloquium
of the Basic Education at Lattakia City.
The researcher followed the descr
iptive method, The research tool consisted of a
questionnaire in which the researcher examined the views of the Educational mentors of
the first Colloquium and their teachers from the basic education stage in Lattakia about the
role of singing songs in the teaching of my language Arabic subject . The sample included
(18) Educational mentors and (160) teachers and( 12.27 %) Of the original community of
teachers in Lattakia, were chosen randomly, and the research tool was presented to a group
of arbitrators and verified its validity and consistency, and then applied in the academic
year 2016-2017.
The research showed the following results and the most important were:
There are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance(0.05) between the
averages of the degrees (mentors and the teachers) in their opinions about the role of singing songs
in teaching of my Language Arabic subject according to the variables (gender and educational
experience); and this is due to their awareness of the importance of the singing songs in teaching
my Language Arabic as an interesting useful scientific method of shortening time and effort,
whereas There are statistically significant differences at the averages of the degrees of the
Educational mentors and the teachers in their opinions of the role of singing songs in teaching of
my Language Arabic according to the variables (type of work and scientific qualification ) for the
benefit of mentors and high educational specialists .
In the light of the results The research suggested :
1 - The need to prepare qualified academic and educational teachers to teach the
songs in the halls of the availability of suitable educational means, after the introduction to
the curriculum or composed by them, the research confirmed that it is still absent from the
ground until the moment of doing this research.
2 - Adoption of the criteria reached in the selection of songs.
We studied in this research in the predicative deletion and what it relates to in Ebn Hani Alandalusi’s poetry, we studied first topics of deletion in predicate, so we started to study the deletion of the enunciative and its implications, then delet
e the verb, and we studied Secondly the deletion of subject and its implications, we started deleting the inchoative, and the object, then with regard to predication, such as deleting adjective and discrimination , and we had enough with some examples to show what required, the controls of the search led us to these limits, depending on a set of more than few of sources and references, the first was explanation of the divan of Ibn Hani, but we have adopted the explanation without the divan as we could not get documented edition, as the explanation contained all of his poems without exception, and characterized by a good scientific investigation and careful organization.
The research aimed at identifying the degree of problems of
teaching and achieving skill-objectives from the viewpoint of
biology subject teachers in the Secondary stage, and identifying the effect of (gender, qualification, years of experience, tr
aining
courses) variables on problems of teaching and achieving skill objectives in biology subject. The researcher followed the
descriptive analytical method. A questionnaire contained (34)
statements was used to achieve the aim of the research. the research was applied on a random sample of biology teachers in the Secondary stage consisted of (126) teachers.
The results of the research showed that the degree of problems of
teaching and achieving skill-objectives from the viewpoint of
biology teachers was high, the mean was (3.27) . In addition, the
strongest degree of the problems was that the related to the
educational environment and teaching techniques, while the degree of the problems related to the student, teacher, curricula was medium. the researcher also found that there was no significant statistical differences between the means of the degrees of the biology teacher's answers about teaching and achieving skillobjectives in biology subject according to (gender, qualification, years of experience, training courses) variables.
The researcher suggested the necessity of conducting training
courses aim at supervising teachers and enhancing their skills and
teaching experience, and the necessity of preparing and improving
the abilities of the educational environment and providing the
needed teaching techniques for the new curricula.
